We started the morning with some great Warmiński bread and the day shrouded in fog but I knew it would burn off as the morning progressed so we didn't let it interfere with our plan for the day. We had three things in mind, the Leszczynski castle in the town of Rydzina, the palace in Rokosowo and the rapeseed fields. I'm happy to say we accomplished them all today despite a not so sunny day.
The castle in Rdyzina is really worth seeing. Rather than go into a long detail of it's rooms I will post this website for anyone who wants to know more about it.

Probably the most interesting story is about the Lady in White. Just like Kornik castle, this castle has its ghost story. Once upon a time a woman with two children was living in the castle. Her husband was killed in a war. She wanted to get married again but the children made it impossible. That is why she killed them and immured in the castle. For that act she was punished and has been still serving the sentence. As the legend says every year, on the eve of All Saints Day, it is possible to meet the White Lady in an old chapel at midnight. A ghost of a woman in white shroud can be seen kneeling on the steps of the altar. The priest- skeleton starts saying the mass. There are also two skeleton altar boys. During the mass the White Lady prays and goes to confession. She mentions all her sins and asks for absolution. The priest replies that the time has not come yet- not in this year. The candles extinguish suddenly and the whole apparition disappears. Only in the castle halls and in the surroundings one can hear cries and quiet footsteps.
Now this castle is a hotel, conference place and also a place where weddings and parties are held. I went to the reception desk to see if we could look inside at the rooms without being guests and the lady said that usually you could not but I was able to persuade her to make an exception for us. She called a Polish speaking guide and he showed us three of the rooms, the ballroom, the Sea Room and the Hunters room. He even brought over one of the chairs for Joan to sit in so I could take a picture of her in front of a fireplace. It was very kind of him to do that without my asking. We spent about an hour inside and then went for a walk in the garden behind the castle. After leaving the castle we went to the church in front of it and then to the town square.
From there we made our way east to Rokosowo the see the palace there. Unfortunately, on this day there was a wedding being held inside so we couldn't go in but I did take pictures of the outside.
The last thing was the rapeseed fields but actually they were the first thing we saw when we left Poznań. You can't miss them. They are spectacular to view with fields of yellow stretching across the landscape everywhere you go. We chose to get off the main highway and take little roads that would put us right next to the fields. I have seen magnificient autumn colors in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, beautiful scenery in Agawa Canyon in Canada, incredible vistas in Colorado with the Rocky Mountains and I tell you the rapeseed fiels are equal to all of those. These pictures you may choose to view in the slideshow do no do justice to these fields. To walk among these fields and smell the aroma that fills your senses like sweet honey dripping down your throat is truly an amazing thing. You won't understand it without experiencing it first hand.
A surpise also for us was to take the pictures of the storks we saw. We say more than we took pictures of but a few pictures are enough.
Zaczęliśmy rano z jakiejś wielkiej chleb Warmiński i dzień owiana mgła, ale wiedziałem, że to spalić jak rano postępy, więc nie pozwól zakłócać naszego planu dnia. Mieliśmy trzy rzeczy na uwadze, zamek Leszczyńskich w mieście Rydzina, pałac w Rokosowo i pola rzepaku. Jestem szczęśliwy mogąc powiedzieć, że dokonał ich wszystkich dziś dzień, mimo nie tak słonecznie.
Zamek w Rdyzina naprawdę warto zobaczyć. Zamiast iść w długą szczegół to pokoje Ja po tej stronie dla każdego, kto chce wiedzieć więcej na ten temat.

Chyba najciekawszy historia jest o Lady in White. Podobnie jak zamku w Kórniku, zamek ten ma swoją historię ducha. Kiedyś kobieta z dwójką dzieci mieszkał w zamku. Jej mąż zginął na wojnie. Chciała wyjść za mąż ponownie, ale dzieci uniemożliwiły. Dlatego zabiła ich i immured w zamku. Do tego aktu była i jest karane jeszcze odbywania kary. Jak głosi legenda co roku, w wigilię Wszystkich Świętych, to można spotkać Białą Damę w starej kaplicy o północy. Duch kobiety w biały całun widać klęczącego na stopniach ołtarza. Ksiądz-szkielet zaczyna mówiąc masy. Istnieją również dwa ołtarza szkieletu. Podczas mszy White Lady modli i idzie do spowiedzi. Wymienia wszystkie swoje grzechy i prosi o rozgrzeszenie. Kapłan odpowiada, że czas jeszcze nie nadszedł, nie w tym roku. Świece gasić i nagle znika całe Objawienie. Tylko w salach zamku oraz w pobliżu słychać krzyki i ciche kroki.
Teraz ten zamek jest hotel, miejsce konferencji, a także miejsce, gdzie wesela i przyjęcia są przechowywane. Poszedłem do recepcji, aby zobaczyć, gdybyśmy mogli zajrzeć do środka w pokojach bez gości i pani powiedziała, że nie może się zwykle, ale udało mi się przekonać ją uczynić wyjątek dla nas. Nazwała przewodnicka w języku polskim i pokazał nam trzy pokoje, salę balową, Morza pokoju i pokój myśliwski. Nawet wniesiona na jednym z krzeseł dla Joan siedzieć, więc może zrobić zdjęcie jej przed kominkiem. To było bardzo miłe z nim zrobić to bez mojej pytania. Spędziliśmy godzinę w środku, a następnie poszedł na spacer w ogrodzie za zamkiem. Po wyjściu z zamku poszliśmy do kościoła, przed nim, a następnie na rynku.
Stamtąd udaliśmy się na wschód do Rokosowo zobaczyć pałac tam. Niestety, tego dnia było wesele odbędzie wewnątrz więc nie mogliśmy wejść, ale nie zrobić zdjęcia na zewnątrz.
Ostatnią rzeczą było pola rzepaku, ale faktycznie były pierwszą rzeczą, którą widzieliśmy już po wyjściu Poznań. Nie można za nimi tęsknię. Są spektakularne, aby wyświetlić z pola żółtego sięgania przez krajobraz gdziekolwiek jesteś. Zdecydowaliśmy się wysiąść z głównej drogi i zajmują niewiele dróg, które by nas obok pola. Widziałem wspaniałym kolory jesieni w Wyższym Półwyspie Michigan, piękne krajobrazy w Agawa Canyon w Kanada, niesamowite widoki w Kolorado z Gór Skalistych i powiem rzepakowego uważa, są równe dla wszystkich z nich. Te zdjęcia można wyświetlać w pokazie slajdów są nie do wymiaru sprawiedliwości w tych dziedzinach. Chodzić wśród tych dziedzinach aromat i zapach, który wypełnia swoje zmysły słodki jak miód kapią z gardła jest naprawdę niesamowite. Nie zrozumiesz to nie wystąpiły to z pierwszej ręki.
Niespodzianka również dla nas, aby wykonać zdjęcia z bociany widzieliśmy. Powiedzieć więcej niż zrobiliśmy zdjęcia, ale kilka zdjęć wystarczą.
