 I watched the sun go behind a large gray cloud this afternoon. I kept looking at the cloud and saw the heat of the sun burn a hole and followed the path until it finally came into full view. It was a nice experience

KYIV/MARIUPOL, Ukraine, April 16 (Reuters) - Russia's warplanes bombed Lviv and its missiles struck Kyiv and Kharkiv on Saturday, as Moscow followed through on a threat to launch more long-range attacks on Ukrainian cities after its Black Sea Fleet's flagship was sunk.

Joan and I spent a week in Lviv. We ate at the famous Barczynsli restaurant and I bought a bottle of their famous vodka to bring back home. It is a beautiful city. With a guide, we visited the opera house and a few other places. I loved one of their chocolate factories of which there are several. The one we visited was in an old 3-story building. 

On the ground floor, you could watch them make the chocolate. On the second floor, they sold their chocolate products made in all kinds of forms; shoes, books, churches, various animals, bars of chocolate, and buildings.

On almost every corner of the main square, there were coffee shops and many restaurants. Behind where we stayed was a palace of a famous Polish king that we visited.

There should be fighter planes given to Ukraine before the evil Putin destroys it all.

Dziś po południu patrzyłem, jak słońce zachodzi za dużą szarą chmurę. Patrzyłem na chmurę i widziałem, jak ciepło słońca wypala w niej dziurę i podążałem tą ścieżką, aż w końcu pojawiła się w pełnym świetle. To było miłe doświadczenie

KIJÓW/MARIUPOL, Ukraina, 16 kwietnia (Reuters) - Rosyjskie samoloty wojenne zbombardowały Lwów, a rakiety uderzyły w Kijów i Charków w sobotę, gdy Moskwa spełniła groźbę przeprowadzenia kolejnych ataków dalekiego zasięgu na ukraińskie miasta po zatopieniu okrętu flagowego Floty Czarnomorskiej.

Joanna i ja spędziliśmy tydzień we Lwowie. Jedliśmy w słynnej restauracji Barczynsli, a ja kupiłem butelkę ich słynnej wódki, żeby przywieźć ją do domu. To piękne miasto. Z przewodnikiem zwiedziliśmy operę i kilka innych miejsc. Bardzo podobała mi się jedna z fabryk czekolady, których jest tu kilka. Ta, którą odwiedziliśmy, mieściła się w starym, trzypiętrowym budynku. 

Na parterze można było obserwować, jak produkują czekoladę. Na drugim piętrze sprzedawano wyroby czekoladowe w najróżniejszych postaciach: butów, książek, kościołów, różnych zwierząt, tabliczek czekolady i budynków.

Prawie na każdym rogu głównego placu znajdowały się kawiarnie i liczne restauracje. Za miejscem, w którym się zatrzymaliśmy, znajdował się pałac słynnego polskiego króla, który zwiedziliśmy.

Ukraina powinna otrzymać samoloty bojowe, zanim zły Putin wszystko zniszczy.

KYIV/MARIUPOL, Ucrania, 16 de abril (Reuters) - Los aviones de guerra rusos bombardearon Lviv y sus misiles alcanzaron Kyiv y Kharkiv el sábado, mientras Moscú cumplía su amenaza de lanzar más ataques de largo alcance contra ciudades ucranianas tras el hundimiento del buque insignia de su Flota del Mar Negro.

Joan y yo pasamos una semana en Lviv. Comimos en el famoso restaurante Barczynsli y compré una botella de su famoso vodka para llevar a casa. Es una ciudad preciosa. Con un guía, visitamos la ópera y algunos otros lugares. Me encantó una de sus fábricas de chocolate, de las que hay varias. La que visitamos estaba en un antiguo edificio de tres plantas. 

En la planta baja, se podía ver cómo hacían el chocolate. En el segundo piso, vendían sus productos de chocolate hechos en todo tipo de formas: zapatos, libros, iglesias, varios animales, barras de chocolate y edificios.

En casi todas las esquinas de la plaza principal había cafeterías y muchos restaurantes. Detrás de donde nos alojamos había un palacio de un famoso rey polaco que visitamos.

Habría que dar aviones de combate a Ucrania antes de que el malvado Putin lo destruya todo.
