A walk around.

Garrett, another caregiver, came today and stayed for the 3 hours. I took advantage of a beautiful day and went to the center. Parked my car near the zamek(castle) and took pictures of different points of interest.

First, it was just buildings or views of the church on Fredry Street, then the university, and finally the zamek. I was interested in the courtyard behind it. Joan and I were there many years ago when she was still well. It hadn't changed much since then, maybe a little greener.  However, I did discover the restaurant and bar through a passageway. When I was done, I went across the street to the Aula building.

The Aula building is part of the university and has a nice auditorium for music. Joan and I have been to concerts there a few times. When we first saw the building back in 2002, like many buildings back then, it was dark, dirty, and not too impressive. Since then, thanks to money from the European Union, it has been cleaned and is exceptional.

From there, I just moved a short distance to the water fountain in front of the Opera House. That fountain has flowers of different colors almost surrounding it. I had to take pictures to show you.

Garrett, inny opiekun, przyszedł dzisiaj i został na 3 godziny. Skorzystałem z pięknego dnia i pojechałem do centrum. Zaparkowałem samochód w pobliżu zamku i robiłem zdjęcia różnych interesujących miejsc.

Najpierw były to tylko budynki lub widoki kościoła na ulicy Fredry, potem uniwersytet, a na końcu zamek. Interesował mnie dziedziniec za nim. Byliśmy tam z Joan wiele lat temu, kiedy była jeszcze zdrowa. Od tamtego czasu niewiele się zmieniło, może trochę zazieleniło.  Jednak przez przejście odkryłem restaurację i bar. Kiedy skończyłem, przeszedłem na drugą stronę ulicy do budynku Aula.

Budynek Aula jest częścią uniwersytetu i ma ładne audytorium muzyczne. Joan i ja byliśmy tam kilka razy na koncertach. Kiedy po raz pierwszy zobaczyliśmy budynek w 2002 roku, podobnie jak wiele innych budynków, był on ciemny, brudny i niezbyt imponujący. Od tego czasu, dzięki pieniądzom z Unii Europejskiej, został wyczyszczony i jest wyjątkowy.

Stamtąd przeniosłem się tylko na niewielką odległość do fontanny wodnej przed Operą. Ta fontanna ma kwiaty w różnych kolorach, które prawie ją otaczają. Musiałem zrobić zdjęcia, aby ci je pokazać.
