EJ!

Last night we had the opportunity to watch a live performance of Elton John singing his greatest hits and it was very good. I've been a fan of his since he first started and watched him go through life producing some good music with excellent lyrics from Bernie Taupin.  Watching him brought back of lot of old memories of different times of my life, both good and bad but his music always helped.  He can't hit the high notes anymore but still sings with the emotion he had when he started. When I was in music university we had a freshman pianist who played and sung just like him and it was always a pleasure to go into the practice rooms to hear him. One line from one of his Elton's songs kind of sums up why I came to Poland......."I go to search for the yellow moon and the fathers of our sons". I've made a lot of progress but I'm still searching.

This afternoon we went to the train station to purchase tickets to Wrocław and back and I'm glad we did.  It saved us 100+ zl buying them there instead of over the internet. Now we have everything needed for our trip and it's only a waiting game now. 15 days to go.

Finally we were able to give the magnets to our acquaintance at Kandulski's today because we knew she would be there.  She was happy and so were we.  We brought a little joy into her life.

Today is the parkrun in Cytadela.  Parkrun is free racing over a distance of 5 km of time  held every Saturday at 9.00 am. Racing parkrun is open to everyone regardless of severity or age. Parkrun Running is an excellent opportunity both to embark on the adventure of running, as well as additional training. parkrun is an international initiative that is gaining an ever growing group of followers across the world. Currently, parkrun brings together hundreds of thousands of people sharing the same passion, which is running.

Wczoraj w nocy mieliśmy okazję oglądać na żywo wyniki Elton John śpiewa swoje największe przeboje, a było to bardzo dobre. Byłem jego fanem od kiedy zaczynałem i obserwował go przez życie produkcji dobrej muzyki z doskonałych tekstów z Bernie Taupin. Oglądając go przywiózł z wielu starych wspomnień różnych czasach mojego życia, oboje dobre i złe, ale jego muzyka zawsze pomagał. On nie może trafić na wysokie noty już, ale nadal śpiewa z emocji miał kiedy zaczął. Kiedy byłem w muzycznej uczelni mieliśmy pianista Freshman, który grał i śpiewał tak jak on i to zawsze przyjemność iść do sal prób, aby go usłyszeć. Jedna linia z jednego z jego rodzaju piosenek Eltona sum, dlaczego przyjechał do Polski ....... "Idę szukać żółtym księżycem i ojców naszych synów". Zrobiłem duże postępy, ale jestem wciąż szukają.

Po południu udaliśmy się na dworzec kolejowy, aby kupić bilety do Wrocławia iz powrotem i cieszę się, że to zrobiliśmy. To nam zaoszczędzić 100 + zł kupując je tam zamiast przez Internet. Teraz mamy wszystko, co potrzebne dla naszej podróży i to tylko gra czeka teraz. 15 dni do pracy.

W końcu udało nam się dać magnesy do naszej znajomości na dzisiaj Kandulski, ponieważ wiedzieliśmy, że ona tam będzie. Była szczęśliwa i tak byliśmy. Przywieźliśmy trochę radości w życiu.
