Water

We were watching a documentary on water scarcity in the world and were shocked to see this. The average fruit like apples, oranges, peaches, etc. needs 11 gallons of water the produce 1 kilo of that fruit. However, almonds require 1,900 gallons to produce the same amount 1 kilo. The state of California produces 81% of the worlds almonds and has a huge shortage of water. I think it's time for almond farmers to switch to a different product.

I was happy to see Finland join the NATO alliance but disappointed Ukraine could not. I understand that the war is stopping that but at least all 31 countries agreed to continue their support of military weapons and humanitarian support into the future.

Here at home, the weather is getting warmer, 83F to 92F by Sunday so it will be hot.

Oglądaliśmy film dokumentalny o niedoborze wody na świecie i byliśmy zszokowani widząc to. Przeciętny owoc, taki jak jabłka, pomarańcze, brzoskwinie itp. potrzebuje 11 galonów wody do wyprodukowania 1 kilograma tego owocu. Jednak migdały wymagają 1900 galonów, aby wyprodukować taką samą ilość 1 kilograma. Stan Kalifornia produkuje 81% światowych migdałów i cierpi na ogromny niedobór wody. Myślę, że nadszedł czas, aby hodowcy migdałów przestawili się na inny produkt.

Cieszę się, że Finlandia dołączyła do sojuszu NATO, ale jestem rozczarowany, że Ukraina tego nie zrobiła. Rozumiem, że wojna to powstrzymuje, ale przynajmniej wszystkie 31 krajów zgodziło się kontynuować swoje wsparcie w zakresie broni wojskowej i pomocy humanitarnej w przyszłości.
