I went this morning to ul. Grobla 15 to the gas company to find out why we haven't received a bill yet but they had no idea. They said they have mailed two bills out since Feb. 7 and it must be a post office problem. The clerk made a duplicate copy for me while I waited so when I came home Joan paid the bill via internet. Cost for December and January was 1,650 zl ($300 a month). I think that is a high amount but the flat has no exterior insulation so that factors into the reason and it was a cold two months. I can only hope our next bill will be lower.

We have had an interesting offer from a friend of Zbyszeks sons' father-in-law. He would like to know if we would live in a house he owns and take care of it for him. The house is furnished, is a stand alone house with yard and garden. There would be no rent charged and we would just pay the utilities and heating costs each month. He owns another house that he lives in and this house stands empty of people and no one is looking after it so he is looking for a reliable couple to take care of the place. He heard about us from Zbyszeks son, knows who we are and thinks we would be a good match for his caretaker needs. Maybe if we were not so comfortable in this flat, like living in Poznań and the proximity to everything we would do it but the house is about an hours drive from Poznań. It's in a village/town near Leszno and so it would be too far from the places and we people we have grown to know in Poznań. It would be different if we had just moved to Poland and didn't establish friends and a relationship with Poznań.

I read today the stadium in Poznań is almost ready for the EURO 2012 football championship matches and should be completed by June. 4 two-storey stands have been completed so far, although some of them are still lacking seats. Another completed element of the stadium is the roofing structure. At the moment, advanced works are being carried out on the structural elements needed to install the roofing structure – the so-called “membrane”. Filling in of the gaps serving as a passage way for the cranes during installation of the grates, and development of the corners of the stand 2 are at an advanced level. Ultimately, the Poznan stadium will be able to accommodate 40,000 spectators.

Another improvement in Poznań is a pedestrian boulevard with benches, and in the future –a canoe marina and a restaurant–such will be the look of the Warta wharf within the area of Ul. Szelągowska in the district of Stare Winogrady.

It's in wieś / miasteczko koło Leszna i tak byłoby zbyt daleko od miejsca i ludzi, my staliśmy się dowiedzieć w Poznaniu. Byłoby inaczej, gdybyśmy po prostu przeniósł się Polska i nie wykazało przyjaciółmi i relacji z Poznania.

Czytałem dziś na stadionie w Poznaniu jest już prawie gotowa do organizacji EURO 2012w piłce nożnej na mecze i powinny zostać zakończone do czerwca. 4 dwupiętrowym stoi zostały
zrealizowane do tej pory, mimo że niektóre z nich wciąż brakuje miejsc. Kolejnym elementem wypełniony stadion jest struktura dachów. W chwili obecnej zaawansowane prace prowadzone są na elementy konstrukcyjne niezbędne do instalacji konstrukcji dachowych - tak zwane "błony". Wypełnianie luk służące jako przejście sposób żurawie podczas instalacji krat i rozwój rogach stoją 2 są na zaawansowanym poziomie. Ostatecznie stadion w Poznaniu będzie mógł pomieścić 40.000 widzów.
