Neighbors

Saturday we met with our neighbors, Pawel and Julia at 13:00. Earlier, I went to Sowas to get some pastries for the meeting. When they arrived. They brought 4 pistachio eclairs from a local baker. We never had that kind before so it was a new experience for us. The taste was very different than others we have had.

The weather is still hot 85 F today but our flat has windows on the north and south sides so we do get a flow of air through it. I close the drapes on the south window to stop the heat from penetrating into our living room.

I read that the U.S. authorized some countries to send F-16s to Ukraine. They could certainly use them to protect their country from Russia but it could push Putin to do something even more crazy.

Sobota, o 13:00 spotkaliśmy się z naszymi sąsiadami, Pawłem i Julią. Wcześniej poszedłem do Sowy po ciastka na spotkanie. Kiedy przyjechali, przynieśli 4  pistacjowe eklery od lokalnego piekarza. Nigdy wcześniej takich nie jedliśmy, więc było to dla nas nowe doświadczenie. Smak bardzo różnił się od innych, które mieliśmy.

Nadal jest upał,  dzisiaj 85 F, ale nasze mieszkanie ma okna od strony północnej i południowej, więc mamy przez nie przepływ powietrza. Spuszczam zasłony na południowym oknie, aby powstrzymać przenikanie ciepła do naszego salonu.
