DEAR JOAN AND DAVID,
I READ YOUR BLOG ALMOST EVERYDAY. IT ISD NICE TO HAVE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE ON THINGS IN POLAND FROM SOMEONE WHO IS NEW RESIDENT. WELL NOT EXCATLY NEW BUT MADE THE LIFE CHANGING DECISION. WHT A FITTING TRIBUTE TO 400 YEARS OF POLISH IMMIGRATION TO AMERICA. YOUR BLOG SERVES AS PERFECT EXAMPLE OF ANOTHER IMMIGRATION - FROM AMERICA TO POLAND.
EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT RELATIVE I ENJOY YOUR BLOG A LOT AND AS ALWAYS WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.
I HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY ALL NEW SOUPS AND KIELBASY DUIRNG THE COOLER SEASON IN POLAND.

BEST WISHES AND GOOD LUCK

Hi, I'm the wife of anonymous and also enjoy your blog. I'm Polish though I was born in Germany. We live in South Bend,In which is not that far from Chicago, Il. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Poland again, we were there in
2006, I would very much like to meet you. We truly enjoy your blog.I will nag my husband to write to you as well.

Thanks Ursula,

It's a small world. I grew up in Hammond, Indiana, west of South Bend. I've been to South Bend on a few ocassions to the Dome for football. I have a cousin, Thomas Burzycki, who lives there. When you return to Poland I would be happy to meet you and your husband.

Hi,

I read your blog every day. I am so glad that we met in person. It makes reading your blog so much more personal. Of course, I am a relative.
To Ursula, my son lives in South Bend, Indiana, and works at First Source Bank.

Thanks Mary Ann.
I am also glad that we met in person. I regret that I didn't meet all the relatives in Michigan.

So, I have two cousins in South Bend:-)

I am not a relative, but I read your blog.

My name is Amy, and I live in Mishawaka, IN. I took a Polish course with one your cousin's wife's - her name is Ann. (Last name starts with a B, but I dont' remember it.)

Also, my sister-in-law is from Poland - Pabianice, and recently moved here from there. (Although she speaks perfect English, I still took the course in Polish after visiting Pabianice a year ago for her and my brother's wedding...) Like you, I'm totally intrigued with Poland. (I am 1/4 Polish thru my mother's side of the family.)

I read your blog every few days and really dig it. :)

Thanks,

Amy Lolmaugh

PS. I work with Ursula's husband, George. heh heh.

HI Amy,
Yes, that's Anna Burzyicki that you had the course with. She is my cousins wife.
Thanks for reading our blog.

Hi David & Joan

I have only come across your blog the other day and I'm reading it with great interest.
Both my wife, who is English, and myself ( I'm Polish), are of similar age to you and made similar decision to yours. Although our case is a bit different. We lived the last 36 years in England, but 3 years ago came to live to Poland, the country I was born in and lived till I was 23. Poznan is close to my heart because I spent five years there studying at Adam Mickiewicz University. In fact the building you go for your Polish lessons was (is?) the home of the Faculty of Biology and Earth Studies of which I am a graduate.
Both my wife and I are hoping to meet you and your wife one day.

HI Anonymous,
Thanks for reading our blog. We would be happy to meet you and your wife whenever it is convenient for you. Just email me at the address at the top of the blog and let us know when. An interesting fact about the building we were in that I didn't know.
