Sometimes my server here in Spain tells me my blog cannot be found but if I keep trying eventually it appears. You might have the same problem.
Today was suppose to be our day to go to Aguilas to see the festival but things changed. This Chapter 7 has so much homework with idioms and the irregular verb "to go" that Joan had still not completed it. We came to Spain for 2 reasons, to escape the Polish winter and to study Spanish. We are doing quite well in our studies so we thought it was more important for us to work on Chapter 7 instead of taking the time for the festival. All of the morning we worked on it and then at 13:00 we stopped and drove to La Manga, a place recommended by Carmelo. It was only a short drive and we were there by 13:30.
La Manga is a peninsula across the bay from where we live. It is mainly a tourist location with the bay on one sidę and the sea on the other. You'll find many restaurants, hotel, pubs, rooms and everything for the tourist. We stopped at one of the harbors where w parked our car and went for a walk. QUE BONITA DIA! What a beautiful day! I wore a Spring jacket and was still too warm. We walked to an outside restaurant filled with people and had a little afternoon snack. Joan had salad, tiramisu and coffee. I had my most favorite food of Spain, calamari. That is squid, fried in flour with fresh squeezed lemon juice. It was absolutely fantastico.
After our little snack we drove to the end of the peninsula to see the light house and look across the bay to Santiago where we are living now. Now Joan is working on Chapter 7.
