Long weekend.

Tomorrow starts the long weekend celebration of May 3rd, Constitution Day. We'll start the celebration at Kandulski's for our weekly meeting with Z. First, in the morning, we'll do our shopping and it should be crowded as stores are closed on Saturday. We should have done the shopping yesterday, I hate crowds.

It's a little strange to me that there is a bigger celebration of Constitution Day in Chicago than there is here. The parade there lasts 3-4 hours, with hundreds of Poles lining Columbus Avenue, floats, marching bands and everyone dressed in red and white. We went to the parade here in Poznań last year, it lasted 20 minutes.

Jutro zaczyna się długi weekend z okazji 3 maja Święto Konstytucji. Zaczniemy uroczystości w Kandulski dla naszego tygodniowego spotkania z Z. Po pierwsze, rano, dołożymy wszelkich zakupów i należy zatłoczone jak sklepy są zamknięte w soboty. Powinniśmy zrobić zakupy wczoraj, nienawidzę tłumów.

To trochę dla mnie dziwne, że istnieje większe święto Święto Konstytucji w Chicago niż u nas. Parada nie trwa 3-4 godzin, z setkami Polaków podszewka Columbus Avenue, pływaków, maszerujących zespołów i wszyscy ubrani w czerwone i białe. Poszliśmy do parady tutaj w Poznaniu w zeszłym roku, trwał 20 minut.
