W膮sowo

Today we spent in W膮sowo, a beautiful palace turned into a hotel and restaurant. It was no problem to walk inside and take pictures wherever we wanted. A beautiful place about an hour west of Pozna艅. We took to small roads to get there as you can see by the road to Kuslin and W膮sowo. The slideshow tells the story of it's beauty.

In the middle of the Middle Ages, when overgrown forests made up the greater part of the Wielkopolska, settlers were brought among the ancient beech forests to establish settlements and began to cultivate the land. Hardy and industrious people soon rewarded their benefactors cutting wood and building homes. During that time a village was founded W膮sowo. It was under the ownership of the Benedictine monks from Lubin.

From Sixteenth century to the mid-seventeenth century it was the property of the Niegolewski famikly. After that the village freqently changed owners (Rogowsski, Zakrzewski and Raczynski).

In 1781, the next owner of the property was Sczaniecki. In the years 1781 - 1786 he erected the W膮sowo baroque palace - Sczanieckich ancestral seat, which is a typical residence that arose in Wielkopolska towards the end of the eighteenth century.

The magnificence of the former owners of today resembles a triangular pediment with the arms of the clan Sczaniecki - Ossoria and Skorzewski - Ogo艅czyk and adjacent to the beautiful mansion you can see the shape of the chapel rotunda erected
in the years 1786 -1790.

Historical turmoil resulted in depletion of many Polish families, including Sczaniecki. The dilapidated Wasowo property was acquired in 1860 as a result of the bank redemption and then eight years later it was sold to the Berlin banker Richard von Hardt. Despite the existence of acquired vast wealth of the palace built before 1990, years ago by Sylvester Sczanieckiego, the new owner erected a magnificent building style reminiscent of the castles of this era. The designer of the palace was known Berlin architect - Gustav Erdmann. After the death of Richard in 1898 it was inherited by his son Friedrich Wilhelm von Hardt (1855-1938). Shortly before 1900,with news of a planned visitto W膮sowo by Emperor Wilhelm II, the host expanded the residence adding a wing, grand entrance and the tower that was rebuilt to create the image of neo-gothic castle full of mysteries and legends. The next owner of the palace became after the death of Friedrich Wilhelm in 1938, his eldest son, Richard von Hardt (1882-1945), who died in Wasowo. After the Second World War the land and buildings of Wasowo and it's possessions were taken over by the Polish State Treasury, and they created the State Farms.

Since 1995, Palace of Wasowo is in private hands. It has been carefully restored and converted into a hotel and restaurant center.

Dzisiaj sp臋dzili艣my w W膮sowie, pi臋kny pa艂ac przekszta艂cony w hotel i restauracj臋. Nie by艂o problemu, aby chodzi膰 do 艣rodka i robi膰 zdj臋cia wsz臋dzie tam, gdzie chcieli艣my. Pi臋kne miejsce oko艂o godziny zach贸d od Poznania. Wzi臋li艣my do ma艂ych dr贸g dojecha膰 jak wida膰 przy drodze do Ku艣lin i W膮sowo. Pokaz zdj臋膰 opowiada o to pi臋kno.

Hardy i pracowici ludzie wkr贸tce nagrodzone ich dobroczy艅c贸w ci臋cia drewna i domy budynku. W tym czasie wie艣 zosta艂a za艂o偶ona W膮sowo. By艂 w posiadaniu benedyktyn贸w z Lubina.

W 1781 r. Kolejnym w艂a艣cicielem maj膮tku by艂 Sczaniecki.

艢wietno艣ci dawnych w艂a艣cicieli dzisiaj przypomina tr贸jk膮tnym przycz贸艂kiem z herbem rodu Sczaniecki - Ossoria i Sk贸rzewskiego - Ogo艅czyk i obok pi臋knej rezydencji mo偶na zobaczy膰 kszta艂t rotundy wzniesiono kaplic臋
w latach 1786 -1790.

zawirowania historyczne spowodowa艂y zubo偶enie wielu polskich rodzin, w tym Sczaniecki. Zniszczone mienie W膮sowie zosta艂a nabyta w 1860 roku w wyniku odkupienia banku, a nast臋pnie osiem lat p贸藕niej zosta艂 sprzedany do Berlina Richard von Hardt bankier. Na kr贸tko przed 1900 r., z wie艣ci膮 o visitto planowane W膮sowo przez cesarza Wilhelma II, przyjmuj膮ce rozszerzony zamieszkania dodaj膮c skrzyd艂a, wielkie wej艣cie, a wie偶a zosta艂a odbudowana, 偶e do stworzenia wizerunku zamku neogotycki pe艂en tajemnic i legend.

Zosta艂 starannie odrestaurowany i przekszta艂cony w hotel i centrum restauracji.
