Yosemite

We met with Z today, went food shopping and then to the rynek. It seems so small now after seeing the one in Wrocław. We got there just in time as the sky opened up and it poured rain so hard that streets in Poznań were flooded. On the way back home many man-hole covers had water shooting out of them into the air. It even knocked out my internet service until now, 4AM.
Here are a few pictures sent by reader Anna of a rare sight!! Yosemite National Park, California, USA.The spectacular view of the waterfall is created by the reflection of sunlight hitting the falling water at a specific angle.

This rare sight can only be seen at a 2-week period towards the end of February.
To photograph this rare event, photographers would often have to wait and
endure years of patience in order to capture them. The reason is because its appearance depend on a few natural phenomenon's occurring at the same time.. 1st, is the formation of the waterfall - The water is formed by the melting of snow and ice at the top of the mountain. It melts between the month of December and January and by the end of February there might not have much snow left to melt. 2nd, is the specific angle of the sunray hitting the falling water - The sun's position must be exactly at a particular spot in the sky. This occurs only in the month of
February and at the short hours of dusk. It coincides with the fact that the weather in the National Park at that time of the year is often volatile and unpredictable. It compounds the difficulty of getting these pictures.

Spotkaliśmy się z Z dzisiaj, poszedłem do sklepu spożywczego, a następnie na Rynek. Wydaje się tak mała, teraz po obejrzeniu jednej we Wrocławiu. Dostaliśmy się tam właśnie w chwili, gdy niebo otwarte i lał deszcz tak mocno, że ulice w Poznaniu zostało zalanych. W drodze powrotnej do domu wiele człowieka zaślepek miał wody strzelanie z nich do powietrza. Nawet awarię mojego serwisu internetowego do tej pory, 4.

Ten rzadki widok można zobaczyć jedynie na 2-tygodniowy okres do końca lutego.
Na zdjęciu to wydarzenie rzadkie, fotografów musiałyby czekać i
znieść lat cierpliwości, aby ich schwytać. Powodem jest fakt, jego wygląd zależy od kilku naturalne zjawiska występujące w tym samym czasie .. 1., jest formacja wodospadu - wody tworzą topnienie śniegu i lodu na szczycie góry. To topnieje między miesiącu grudniu i styczniu, a do końca lutego nie może mieć wiele lewo do stopienia śniegu. 2., jest konkretne kątem promień słońca uderzenie spadającej wody - Słońce pozycji musi być dokładnie w określonym miejscu na niebie. Ten problem występuje tylko w miesiącu Lutego oraz w krótkich godzinach zmierzchu. Zbiega się on z faktu, że pogoda w Park Narodowy o tej porze roku często niestabilne i nieprzewidywalne.
