Opening Day

The big news of the day is the final opening of the motorway A2.  This is a big thing, folks.  It allows you to drive on a superhighway from Poznań to Berlin and elminiates stopping in every little village along the way like the old road did.  Two hours to Berlin, or less, can be the travel time instead of 3 to 3 1/2 hours like before.  It was such a big event that the President of Poland gave the opening day address.  It's 197 km from Poznań to Berlin and the average minimum speed will be 120 so you could be in Berlin two hours. It takes me one hour and 10 minutes to drive 80 km to Golina on the old highway.

Wielkim wydarzeniem dnia jest ostatnim otwarcia autostrady A2. Jest to wielka rzecz, ludzie. Pozwala na dysk, na autostradzie z Poznania do Berlina i elminiates zatrzymania w każdej wiosce po drodze jak starej drogi nie.
