Two visits.

My sister, her husband and daughter.
We had an excellent vist with our friends from Upper Michigan.  They arrived about 11AM and we went out to breakfast with them, talked about what has happened in the last four years for each of us and then went back to Karen's house for more coversation.  About 5PM they left for Wisconsin where they spent the night before going back to Michigan.  It was great seeing the again and we made a tentative plan to meet in Dublin this year for a trip through Ireland and  Scotland.

The next morning we rented a car and drove to Indiana so I could see my sister again after this four year absence.

On the way there I stopped at the family cemetery to see the graves of my Kazmierczak grandparents and to clear away the leaves.  It's a pity the way cemeteries are kept in this place.  The grave stones have sunk and no one is left here to care properly for them.  It's not at all like in Poland.

My sister looked great and her daughter was home also so I got to see her again along with her father.  In true Polish form, as soon as we arruved she served lunch and then homemade pierogi's.  What a treat.  We talked forr a wille about our father and then we discovered a picture behind an old picture of my father that she didn't kniow was there.  It was just a duplicate copy but she didn't know it was there so she gave the second one to me to keep.  It was a nice surprise.

A not so nice surprise was to find out how much the toll charges have gone up on road.  When we were last here it was 45 cents and now the  cost is $1.50.  Absolutely ridiculou9s.

Great to see you're having a good time back in the USA. Question - has that toll road been privatized since your last visit? Due to the wars and deficits many states have been selling off their assets for quick cash.
