More Plitwicie

I wanted to write more about our first day in Plitwicie but I was pressed for time and didn't want to spend it all writing to the blog when we had friends with us from America.

Plitwicie is really an incredible place to experience.  Not only because of the multitude of beautiful waterfalls, the water color is just amazing but also for a magnificent creation of God.
Surely, the waterfalls are so numerous you really can't keep track of how many you see.  At first when you enter the park, the sound of them is everywhere even when you can't see them.
We parked our car in entrance#2 because it is half way between the Upper and the Lower lakes. Zjeko, our host where we stayed, said it was the best place to park and so we did.  A five minute walk took us to a bus that took visitors to the top of the upper lakes and from there you descended.  Around almost every turn there were new scenes to observe of picturesque  waterfalls cascading down the hills and creating great pools of crystal clear water.
The color of the water was light green to blue to clear and everything on the bottom was visible because the water was so clear.  We descended deep into canyons and saw more waterfalls, then climbed up to great heights to see even more.  It was an exhausting trip, to be sure, but I am so glad that Joan and I were able to make it.
This was only the upper lakes that we saw and tomorrow we will go back to the park and see the lower lakes where I am sure we will be awed by the spectacle of the waterfalls.  Be sure to click on the pictures to get the largest view you can.  These pictures do not really do justice to the beauty of this place.
