Best laid plans...

Planning a day is useless! I had today all planned out but it was useless.

Wake up at 09:00, get dressed, read emails and notifications from FB, get Joan out of bed, dress her, feed her, put on her coat and hat, onto the wheelchair, downstairs to the car, and leave for our haircut appointment at 12:15, supposedly arriving at 12:45.

Well, almost all of the streets leading to the hair salon are now under construction and I had to go halfway around town to get close enough to the salon, 1/2 hour late. That threw my day out of balance. We didn't get done until 3:30 and then the drive home was one traffic jam after another. Finally, we arrived home about 4:30, late for a Skype meeting at 4:00. I still had to change Joan and prepare dinner so we will meet on Friday.

My menu for this week also didn't go as planned either. After checking the refrigerator, I discovered I already used 2 of the ingredients I needed and had to go to Carrefour to buy Bolognaise sauce to make spaghetti instead.

Planowanie dnia jest bezużyteczne! Miałem dziś wszystko zaplanowane, ale na nic się to zdało. 

Pobudka o 9:00, ubranie się, przeczytanie maili i powiadomień z FB, wydostanie Joan z łóżka, ubranie jej, nakarmienie, założenie płaszcza i czapki, wsadzenie na wózek, zejście na dół do samochodu i wyjazd na wizytę u fryzjera o 12:15, na którą dotarliśmy o 12:45. 

Cóż, prawie wszystkie ulice prowadzące do salonu fryzjerskiego są teraz w budowie i musiałem przejechać pół miasta, żeby znaleźć się wystarczająco blisko salonu 8 dlatego spóźniłem się o pół godziny. To zburzyło moj porządek dnia. Nie udało nam się zakończyć strzyżenia przed 15:30, zatem powrót do domu odbywał się jak przeskok z jednego korka w drugi. W końcu dotarłyśmy do domu około 16:30, za późno na spotkanie na Skype'a o 16:00. Musiałem jeszcze przebrać Joan i przygotować kolację, więc spotkamy się w piątek. 

Moje menu na ten tydzień również nie poszło zgodnie z planem. Po sprawdzeniu lodówki odkryłem, że wykorzystałem już dwa z potrzebnych mi składników i musiałem pojechać do Carrefoura po sos boloński, aby zamiast zaplanowanego dania zrobić spaghetti z sosem.

Planificar el día es inútil. Lo tenía todo planeado para hoy, pero fue en vano. 

Levantarse a las 9:00, vestirse, leer los correos electrónicos y las notificaciones de FB, sacar a Juana de la cama, vestirla, darle de comer, ponerle el abrigo y el gorro, meterla en el cochecito, bajar al coche y salir a la cita con la peluquera a las 12:15, a la que llegamos a las 12:45. 

Pues bien, casi todas las calles que conducen a la peluquería están ahora en obras y he tenido que atravesar media ciudad para acercarme al salón 8, así que he llegado media hora tarde. Esto destrozó mi agenda del día. No pudimos terminar el corte de pelo antes de las 15:30, así que llegar a casa fue como saltar de un atasco a otro. Finalmente llegamos a casa sobre las 16:30, demasiado tarde para una reunión por Skype a las 16:00. Todavía tenía que vestir a Joan y preparar la cena, así que nos veremos el viernes. 

Mi menú de esta semana tampoco ha ido según lo previsto. Tras revisar la nevera, descubrí que ya había agotado dos de los ingredientes que necesitaba, y tuve que ir a Carrefour a por salsa boloñesa para hacer espaguetis con salsa en lugar del plato previsto.
