Last day in Budapest.

Last night Kata, our host, cooked a traditional Hungarian dinner of chicken paprakasz. It was delicious.  She also showed Joan how to make it so we can add it to our recipes of things we like to eat. Later that evening two friends of hers came over and we sat around drinking Tokaij wine and talking until about midnight.

This morning Joan and I visited the second largest Jewish synagogue in the world and I took the pictures in the slideshow.  It's a magnificent building, beautifully decorated and we a memorial behind it to the Holocaust victims.  There were 600,000 Hungarian Jews slaughtered by the Nazi's.

Kata gave us instructions on using public transportation, the subway and then bus #21 to get to the top of a hill that overlooks all of Budapest and we successfully reached our destination about 2PM. The views were spectacular, especially since it was a sunny day. We spent a few hours walking through the park and then returned home to finish off last nights leftovers.

Sadly, tomorrow our trip is over and we return home to Poland.  It's been a very enjoyable trip and we're both thrilled we added Budapest to our visit. We favor it over Vienna.

Kata dał nam instrukcje korzystania z transportu publicznego, metro, a następnie autobusem # 21, aby dostać się na wzgórzu z widokiem wszystkich Budapeszcie i pomyślnie dotarł na miejsce około godzina czternasta.
