Jopek!

We arrived at the Medical University at 7:30PM and went into the student conference center where the concert was being held. It's a new building with a center that holds about 100 people. It's set up in the usual style of tiered seating. The first tier had 18 rows, a 6 foot wide landing and then the second tier with the same seating. Our seats were in the first row of tier two and didn't look to bad until I sat down. Unfortunately, the monitor screens that are on the mixers for the music sound were set up on the landing below our seats and instead of being able to see the stage, we say the screens. They did have two large screens hanging from the ceilings that transmitted the image of the whole stage to see but the quality of the picture was not good. So there we were, not able to see the stage and not too happy about it.

When the lights went off and the performers came on stage we were able to see them from the neck up but that's not a good position to be in. Yes, I was a little angry about the situation until the music started and then I forgot about it. It was an excellent band of musicians, all very good players and some were exceptional. The saxophone player, Henryk Miskiewicz, the guitarist, Marek Napiórkowski, the bass player, Robert Kubiszyn were all very good.

Anna Maria Jopek was also very good. She doesn't have the vocal range of Diana Krall but her style of singing is good. She sang for about 45 minutes and then more members joined her, musicians from Portugal. About two hours later the concert was over and we went home.

Przybyliśmy do Medycznego Uniwersytetu o 7:30PM i poszedł do środka konferencji studenta gdzie koncert był trzymany. To jest nowe budynek ze środkiem, który trzyma się około 100 ludzi. To jest umieszczone w zwykłym stylu warstwowego usadowienia. Pierwszy rząd miał 18 rzędów, 6 stopy szeroko wysadzające i wtedy drugi rząd z tym samym usadowieniem. Nasze siedzenia były w pierwszym rzędzie rzędu dwa i nie wskazały na zły aż siadałem. Niestety, ekrany monitora, które są na mikserach dla dźwięku muzyki były umieszczone na zejściu na ląd poniżej naszych siedzeń i zamiast możenia zobaczyć deski sceniczne, mówimy ekrany. Oni mieli dwa wielkie ekrany wiszące od sufitów, które transmitowały obraz całej sceny by zobaczyć ale jakość zdjęcia nie była dobra. Tak tam byliśmy, nie zdolni by zobaczyć deski sceniczne i nie zbyt szczęśliwy o tym.

Kiedy światła wyruszyły i wykonawcy poszli dalej scenę bedzeliszmy zobaczyć ich od szyi w górze ale, która nie jest dobra pozycja by być w. Tak, byłem trochę rozgniewanego o sytuacji aż muzyka zaczęła się i wtedy zapomniałem o tym. To było doskonałe pas muzyków, wszyscy bardzo dobrzy gracze i kilku był wyjątkowy. Gracz saksofonu , Henryk Miskiewicz, gitarzysta, Marek Napiórkowski, basowy gracz, Robert Kubiszyn był całe właśnie to dobro.

Anna Maria Jopek była też bardzo dobra. Ona nie ma wokalnego zasięgu Diany Krall ale jej styl śpiewu jest dobry. Ona zaśpiewała przez około 45 minut i wtedy więcej członków dołączały do niej, muzyków z Portugalii. Około dwu godzin później koncert był wszędzie i poszliśmy do domu.
