Charity event.

Today we received two invitations to a charity event at one of the high schools to help one of it's former students.  The young woman was married for only five years after graduation and her husband died leaving her with two children and very little income.  I know someone from that school and when I heard the news I asked if we could attend the event.  Ironically, it is calledd "American Dream".  It should be interesting.  Students from the school will perform musical events and in the middle will be an auction of various items to help raise money. The event  will be covered by local radio and TV and the President of Poznań will attend. I guess it will be a suit for me and dress for Joan, grownup style.  I checked on Google maps where the school is and it's not far from our flat so it will be easy to find.

The prediction for the next few days is snow and I hope that doesn't include Wednesday night.  Right now it's very windy and cold so Spring is still waiting to arrive.

Dziś otrzymaliśmy dwa zaproszenia na imprezę charytatywną w jednym z liceów, by pomóc byłemu studentów. Młoda kobieta po ukończeniu studiów była mężatką tylko przez pięć lat, kiedy jej mąż zmarł zostawiając ją z dwójką dzieci i niewielkimi dochodami. Znam kogoś z tej szkoły i  kiedy usłyszałem wiadomość,  zapytałem, czy możemy uczestniczyć w tym wydarzeniu. Jak na ironię, nadano mu nazwę  "American Dream". Powinno być interesująco. Uczniowie ze szkoły wykonają utwory muzyczne i na środku będzie aukcja różnych przedmiotów, aby pomóc zebrać pieniądze. Wydarzenie będzie relacjonowane przez  miejscowe radio i telewizję i będzie w nim  uczestniczyć prezydent Poznania . Przypuszczam, że odpowiednimi strojami będą garnitur dla mnie i suknia dla żony. Sprawdziłem na mapach Google, gdzie jest ta szkoła i ona nie jest daleko od naszego mieszkania więc łatwo będzie ją znaleźć.

 Na najbliższe dni przewidywany jest śnieg, a ja mam nadzieję, że nie obejmuje on nocy w środę.  Teraz jest bardzo wietrznie i zimno, więc wiosna wciąż czeka na przybycie.
