Cavalry

I didn't want to end the celebration of Joan's birthday so I took her this morning to the rynek for breakfast of scrambled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread and cafe latte. As usual on the weekend, the military likes to parade through the rynek with members of the old cavalry to give tourist an experience of how they looked. Of course, this is the modern version, not the version of the Hussaria, the most famous of the Polish cavalaries.

With all the activities this week we did not go food shopping until today when we were completely out of food. Joan mad the list for the next six days, we went to Carrefour and spent 130 zl. Every day this last week has seemed like Sunday to us.

A reader, Anna,  told me of another, private botanical garden, 30 km east of Poznań that would be worth visiting but when I contacted them they said they do not have time for individuals, only for groups of 25 or more so I guess it will not be possible. It is called Elzbietowka, near the town of Brzezno.

Jak zwykle w weekend, wojsko lubi parada przez Rynek z członkami starej Kalwarii dać aan turystycznego doświadczenia, jak wyglądały. Oczywiście, jest to nowoczesna wersja, a nie wersja Hussaria, najbardziej znany z polskich kalwarii.


Z wszystkich działań w tym tygodniu nie byliśmy zakupy żywności aż do dzisiaj, kiedy byliśmy całkowicie z jedzeniem. Joan mad lista dla następnych sześciu dni, poszliśmy do Carrefour i spędził 130 zł. Każdego dnia ten ostatni tydzień wydawało się niedzieli do nas.


Czytelnik, Anna, powiedział mi innego, prywatny ogród botaniczny, 30 km na wschód od Poznania, co byłoby warte odwiedzenia, ale kiedy skontaktował się z nimi oni powiedzieli, że nie mają czasu dla osób, tylko dla grup 25 lub więcej więc myślę, że nie będzie możliwe. Nazywa Elzbietowka, w pobliżu miasta Brzeźnie.
