I didn't want to end the celebration of Joan's birthday so I took her this morning to the rynek for breakfast of scrambled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread and cafe latte. As usual on the weekend, the military likes to parade through the rynek with members of the old cavalry to give tourist an experience of how they looked. Of course, this is the modern version, not the version of the Hussaria, the most famous of the Polish cavalaries.
With all the activities this week we did not go food shopping until today when we were completely out of food. Joan mad the list for the next six days, we went to Carrefour and spent 130 zl. Every day this last week has seemed like Sunday to us.
A reader, Anna, told me of another, private botanical garden, 30 km east of Pozna艅 that would be worth visiting but when I contacted them they said they do not have time for individuals, only for groups of 25 or more so I guess it will not be possible. It is called Elzbietowka, near the town of Brzezno.
