November 21st, 1963, we had a real President in the United States. November 22, 1963, he was gone. Assassinated by hatred. Now, the country is in turmoil.

Strangely, I did not see or read any mention of Kennedy;s assassination yesterday. What a shame. I remember it an that awful weekend so well.

Shaz, I saw 1 on FB, from a cousin on FB. What a pity he's been forgotten in the terrible time of Trump and Trumpers.

People remembered...not everyone has forgotten.

He was the first President I was old enough to vote for. It was a great honor.
On a campaign tour he was passing thru our town and I can remember my mother and I running down to the main street, hoping we would get there in time, to see him pass by, just to wave to him and see him wave back. We made it just in time. I was in my glory. The future President waved to me. I was sure he would be President.
Yes, its one of those times when you always remember exactly, where you were and what you were doing, when you heard that horrible news. The President has been shot...the President is dead. I like so many others,
was beyond devastated.
