Sunrise.

This morning when I woke up at 6:00, the above scene is what I saw, a nice sunrise. I thought, "Great, sunshine finally today". However, one hour later it was a totally gray sky and it began snowing. Thus is life in Poland at this time of the year.

Joan and I went for haircuts and I was not surprised, like everything else, the price has gone up. It is time to find another place with lower prices. We really like the man who does a good job cutting our hair but there has to be a limit on spending and we have reached beyond it.

With the new case number at 29,064 and 570 deaths, this virus is out of control in Poland. Like most governments, there is no mandate for wearing a mask or getting vaccinated. They are too afraid of losing voters or putting the economy in further danger. There is no report of the latest version of Covid-19 being in Poland yet but who knows if that is true. Today, there are 23 countries reporting they have cases including Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Spain. A convention of doctors says the number of new cases should be multiplied by 7. The only reported cases are from hospitals. No one knows how many have the virus but stay at home.

Esta mañana cuando me desperté a las 6:00, la escena de arriba es lo que vi, un bonito amanecer. Pensé: "Genial, por fin hoy hace sol". Sin embargo, una hora después el cielo estaba totalmente gris y empezó a nevar. Así es la vida en Polonia en esta época del año.

Joan y yo fuimos a cortarnos el pelo y no me sorprendió, como todo, el precio ha subido. Es hora de buscar otro lugar con precios más bajos. Nos gusta mucho el hombre que hace un buen trabajo cortándonos el pelo, pero tiene que haber un límite de gasto y lo hemos superado.

Con el nuevo número de casos, 29.064, y 570 muertes, este virus está fuera de control en Polonia. Como la mayoría de los gobiernos, no hay ningún mandato para llevar una máscara o vacunarse. Tienen demasiado miedo de perder votantes o de poner en peligro la economía. Todavía no se ha informado de que la última versión de Covid-19 esté en Polonia, pero quién sabe si es cierto. Actualmente, hay 23 países que informan de que tienen casos, entre ellos Alemania, Austria, Bélgica, la República Checa, Noruega, Suecia, el Reino Unido y España. Una convención de médicos dice que el número de nuevos casos debe multiplicarse por 7. Los únicos casos notificados proceden de hospitales. No se sabe cuántos tienen el virus pero se quedan en casa.
