Keb Mo

When Joan and I go to Spain for 2 months in the winter here in Poland, we stay in a little town on the southern coast. The town is Santiago de la Ribera. Connected to it is a little larger town, San Javier. Every July, for the whole month, they have a jazz and blues festival. Unfortunately, we are never there for it because, for us, it is too hot during that month. The good thing is that on YouTube you can see the recorded festival.

For something different to do today, Joan and I watched part of the festival that featured the blues artist. Keb Mo. Joan had never heard him so I thought it might be nice for her. We watched the whole concert and she really liked him.

While many countries are being tortured with heat waves, we have been lucky to not feel it that much. Temperatures here in Poznan have averaged about 28C(80F)this last week and today it is the same. It is pleasant enough to take Joan outside.

I made an arrangement with a moving company to move us to the new apartment on August 22nd. I used the same company I used last year.

I received the results from one of the four medical tests I am taking and the result was good. That's 1 down and three to go.

Kiedy z Joan jedziemydo Hiszpanii na 2 miesiące, kiedy w Polsce jest zima, zatrzymujemy się w małym miasteczku na południowym wybrzeżu. Miasteczko to nazywa się Santiago de la Ribera. Połączone z nim jest trochę większe miasteczko - San Javier. Każdego lipca, przez cały miesiąc, odbywa się tam festiwal jazzowy i bluesowy. Niestety nigdy tam nie jesteśmy, bo jak dla nas w lipcu jest tam za gorąco. Dobrą rzeczą jest to, że na YouTube można zobaczyć nagrany festiwal. 

Żeby jakoś urozmaicić dzisiejszy dzień, Joan i ja obejrzeliśmy część festiwalu, na którym wystąpił artysta bluesowy, Keb Mo. Joan nigdy go nie słyszała, więc pomyślałem, że to może sprawić jej przyjemność. Obejrzeliśmy cały koncert i naprawdę go polubiła. 

Podczas gdy wiele krajów jest torturowanych przez fale upałów, my mieliśmy szczęście nie odczuwać ich aż tak bardzo. Temperatury, tutaj w Poznaniu, wynosiły średnio około 28C(80F) w ciągu ostatniego tygodnia i dzisiaj jest tak samo. Jest wystarczająco przyjemnie, aby zabrać Joan na zewnątrz. 

Umówiłem się z firmą przewozową na przeprowadzkę do nowego mieszkania na 22 sierpnia. Skorzystam tej samej firmy, z której korzystałem w zeszłym roku. 

Otrzymałem wyniki  jednego z moich czterech testów medycznych, na które mam zlecenia i wynik był dobry. Jeden z głowy, trzy do wykonania. 

Cuando Joan y yo vamos a España durante dos meses cuando es invierno en Polonia, nos alojamos en un pequeño pueblo de la costa sur. Esta ciudad se llama Santiago de la Ribera. Conectada a ella hay una ciudad un poco más grande: San Javier. Cada julio, durante todo un mes, se celebra allí un festival de jazz y blues. Por desgracia, nunca vamos allí porque hace demasiado calor para nosotros en julio. Lo bueno es que se puede ver un festival grabado en YouTube. 

Para hacer el día más interesante, Joan y yo vimos una parte del festival, en la que participó el artista de blues Keb Mo. Joan nunca lo había escuchado, así que pensé que la haría feliz. Vimos todo el concierto y le gustó mucho. 

Mientras muchos países son torturados por las olas de calor, nosotros tuvimos la suerte de no sentirlo tanto. Las temperaturas, aquí en Poznan, han rondado los 28C (80F) de media durante la semana pasada y hoy es lo mismo. Es lo suficientemente agradable como para llevar a Joan al exterior. 

He concertado una cita con una empresa de mudanzas para trasladarme a mi nuevo piso para el 22 de agosto. Usaré la misma compañía que usé el año pasado. 

Recibí los resultados de una de las cuatro pruebas médicas que tengo ordenadas y el resultado fue bueno. Uno fuera del camino, tres para ir.
