Bright side

 "Always look on the bright side of your life." That is what I have adopted.

Today, forgetting what day it was other than my normal shopping day, I went to Carrefour. The doors to the underground parking were closed. I was puzzled. I waited for 10 minutes, took the cell phone, went to their website, and discovered/remembered that today is Corpus Christi day and stores are closed. I was a little angry at myself for forgetting that and waking up early, 6:00, for nothing. I turned around, went home, parked the car in our garage, and discovered a watering can behind some things. I've been using a 2 ltr. bottle to water Joan's plants but now I have an actual watering plastic can. That was a bright side of my day so far at 7:15. Now, back to bed for a few hours until Joan wakes up.

At 12:30 and with a good weather day, I took Joan out to have a coffee. However, my first two choices of places to go were closed for the holiday, so we went to the rynek. It will be our last visit there until the renovate it. Trying to move Joan in a wheelchair was way to much work with the uneven sidewalks and the cobblestones in the center. That, plus pushing her back up the hill to the car would have been too strenuous.

I moved Joan to a side street where she sat until I went to retrieve the car and pick her up. Back at home we sat and watched the movie, Land, with Robin Wright. The scenery was beautiful.

"Zawsze patrz na jasną stronę swojego życia". To jest to, co przyjąłem.

Dzisiaj, zapominając jaki to dzień poza normalnym dniem zakupów, poszedłem do Carrefour. Drzwi do podziemnego parkingu były zamknięte. Zdziwiłem się. Poczekałem 10 minut, wziąłem komórkę, wszedłem na ich stronę internetową i odkryłem/przypomniałem sobie, że dziś jest Boże Ciało i sklepy są zamknięte. Byłem trochę zły na siebie o to, że o tym zapomniałem i obudziłem się wcześnie, o 6:00, po nic. Odwróciłem się, pojechałem do domu, zaparkowałem samochód w naszym garażu i odkryłem konewkę za jakimiś rzeczami. Używałem 2 ltr. butelki do podlewania roślin Joan, ale teraz mam normalną, pkastikową konewkę. To była jasna strona mojego dnia do godziny 7:15. Wróciłem do łóżka na kilka godzin, aż Joan się obudzi.

O 12:30 i przy dobrej pogodzie, zabrałem Joan na kawę. Jednak dwa pierwsze miejsca, do których chciałem pójść, były zamknięte z powodu święta kościelnego, więc pojechaliśmy na Rynek. Będzie to nasza ostatnia wizyta w tym miejscu, dopóki go nie wyremontują. Próba przepchania wóżka inwalidzkiego z Joan w nim siedzącą kosztowało by zbyt wiele wysiłku po nierównych chodnikach i kostce brukowej w centrum. To, plus pchanie jej z powrotem pod górę do samochodu, byłoby zbyt uciążliwe.

Przejechałem z Joan na boczną ulicę, gdzie ją zostawiłem siedzącą na wózku, dopóki nie poszedłem odebrać samochodu i podjechałem po nią. Kiedy wróciliśmy do domu, usiedliśmy i obejrzeliśmy film, pt.: Land, z Robin Wright. Sceneria była piękna.

Hoy, olvidando que era un día distinto al habitual de compras, he ido a Carrefour. Las puertas del aparcamiento subterráneo estaban cerradas. Me quedé perplejo. He esperado 10 minutos, he cogido el móvil, he entrado en su página web y he descubierto/recordado que hoy es el día del Corpus y las tiendas están cerradas. Me enfadé un poco conmigo mismo por haberme olvidado de eso y haberme levantado temprano, a las 6:00, para nada. Me di la vuelta, fui a casa, aparqué el coche en nuestro garaje y descubrí una regadera detrás de algunas cosas. He estado usando una botella de 2 litros para regar las plantas de Joan, pero ahora tengo una verdadera lata de plástico para regar. Ese fue el lado positivo de mi día hasta las 7:15. Ahora, de vuelta a la cama por unas horas hasta que Joan se despierte.

A las 12:30 y con un día de buen tiempo, llevé a Joan a tomar un café. Sin embargo, mis dos primeras opciones de lugares a los que ir estaban cerrados por las vacaciones, así que fuimos al rynek. Será nuestra última visita allí hasta que lo renueven. Intentar mover a Joan en silla de ruedas fue demasiado trabajo con las aceras irregulares y los adoquines del centro. Eso, además de empujarla de vuelta a la colina hasta el coche habría sido demasiado agotador.

Trasladé a Joan a una calle lateral donde se sentó hasta que fui a recuperar el coche y recogerla. De vuelta a casa, nos sentamos a ver la película Land, con Robin Wright. El paisaje era precioso.
