Sunglasses.

 Excellent day for us. Joan and I went to Decathelon and found a good pair of sunglasses for her. I don't wear them because I don't like changing the natural color of things I see. It was good for Joan to be outside and if the weather stays like this I will take her out more often.

Our friend from Pennsylvania, John, finally has his Polish citizenship after waiting for 2- years after application. He speaks Polish well enough to pass the language test but that didn't make any difference in how long he had to wait. I am still stuck in the Civil Registry hell.

I spent an hour on Skype with a member of a research project answering questions to determine how foreigners view the Polish health care system. I hold her of our experiences with it, the good and the bad. The person is also an English teacher at Mickiewicz University and her English was very good.

Wspaniały dzień dla nas. Joan i ja poszliśmy do Decathelon i znaleźliśmy dla niej dobrą parę okularów przeciwsłonecznych. Ja ich nie noszę, bo nie lubię zmieniać naturalnego koloru rzeczy, które widzę. To wspaniale, że Joan mogła być na zewnątrz i jeśli pogoda pozostanie taka jak teraz, będę ją częściej zabierać na zewnątrz.

Nasz przyjaciel z Pensylwanii, John, ma wreszcie polskie obywatelstwo po 2 latach oczekiwania od złożenia wniosku. Mówi po polsku na tyle dobrze, że zdał test językowy, ale to nie miało żadnego wpływu na to, jak długo musiał czekać. Ja nadal tkwię w piekle Urzędu Stanu Cywilnego.

Spędziłem godzinę na Skype z panią, członkiem projektu badawczego, odpowiadając na pytania mające na celu ustalenie, jak obcokrajowcy postrzegają polski system opieki zdrowotnej. Opowiedziałem jej o naszych doświadczeniach z tyn związanych, zarówno tych dobrych i tych złych. Osoba ta jest również nauczycielem języka angielskiego na Uniwersytecie Mickiewicza i jej angielski był bardzo dobry.

Un día excelente para nosotros. Joan y yo fuimos a Decathelon y encontramos un buen par de gafas de sol para ella. Yo no las uso porque no me gusta cambiar el color natural de las cosas que veo. Fue bueno para Joan estar al aire libre y si el tiempo se mantiene así la sacaré más a menudo.

Nuestro amigo de Pensilvania, John, por fin tiene su ciudadanía polaca después de esperar 2 años tras la solicitud. Habla polaco lo suficientemente bien como para pasar el examen de idioma, pero eso no supuso ninguna diferencia en el tiempo que tuvo que esperar. Yo sigo atrapada en el infierno del Registro Civil.

He pasado una hora por Skype con un miembro de un proyecto de investigación respondiendo a preguntas para determinar cómo ven los extranjeros el sistema sanitario polaco. Le cuento nuestras experiencias con él, lo bueno y lo malo. La persona es también profesora de inglés en la Universidad Mickiewicz y su inglés era muy bueno.
