Crazy Day.

Another one of those crazy last-minute schedule changes in the day. The morning started out fine but the afternoon was filled with trying to find an electrician to fix the electric stovetop. All of sudden, two burners stopped working. The stovetop is a  Schott Ceran so I called them to ask for service. They said they had no one in Poznan after asking for the model number. I looked underneath where the electronics were and it said Amica, another brand name.

I called Amica for service and they gave me a phone number for TVs and computers, no help. Then they gave me a number for my appliance. I called and waited until they found an English speaker. He took my information about the problem and said he would call back with a, appointment date. He didn't call back.

I called again and the same thing happened. By then it was 17:30 and I had been on the phone, off and on, for two hours. Frustrated, I decided to start making dinner and try again tomorrow. For the number of hours I have spent on the phone trying to arrange various things over the years, I could have had a two-week vacation.

Kolejna z tych szalonych zmian w harmonogramie w ostatniej chwili w ciągu dnia. Ranek zaczął się dobrze, ale popołudnie było wypełnione próbą znalezienia elektryka, który naprawi kuchenkę elektryczną. Nagle, dwa palniki przestały działać. Kuchenka jest marki Schott Ceran, więc zadzwoniłem do nich z prośbą o serwis. Po zapytaniu o numer modelu powiedzieli, że nie mają nikogo w Poznaniu. Spojrzałem pod spód, gdzie była elektronika i było napisane Amica, inna marka.

Zadzwoniłem do Amica do serwisu i dali mi numer telefonu do telewizorów i komputerów, a to żadna pomoc. Potem dali mi numer telefonu w sprawie mojego urządzenia. Zadzwoniłem i czekałem, aż znaleźli kogoś mówiącego po angielsku. Przyjął ode mnie informacje na temat problemu z urządzeniem i powiedział, że oddzwoni z datą spotkania. Nie oddzwonił.

Zadzwoniłem ponownie i rozmowa miała ten sam przebieg. Była już 17:30, a ja rozmawiałem przez telefon, bez przerwy, przez dwie godziny. Sfrustrowany, postanowiłem zacząć robić obiad i spróbować ponownie jutro. Za liczbę godzin, które spędziłem na telefonie próbując załatwić różne sprawy przez te wszystkie lata, mógłbym mieć dwutygodniowe wakacje.

Otro de esos locos cambios de horario de última hora en el día. La mañana empezó bien, pero la tarde se llenó de intentar encontrar un electricista para arreglar la cocina eléctrica. De repente, dos quemadores dejaron de funcionar. La cocina es una Schott Ceran, así que les llamé para pedirles ayuda. Me dijeron que no tenían a nadie en Poznan después de pedir el número de modelo. Miré debajo de donde estaba la electrónica y ponía Amica, otra marca.

Llamé a Amica para pedir servicio y me dieron un número de teléfono para televisores y ordenadores, sin ayuda. Luego me dieron un número para mi electrodoméstico. Llamé y esperé hasta que encontraron una persona que hablaba inglés. Tomó mi información sobre el problema y dijo que volvería a llamar con una, fecha de cita. No volvió a llamar.

Volví a llamar y ocurrió lo mismo. Para entonces eran las 17:30 y llevaba dos horas al teléfono, de forma intermitente. Frustrada, decidí ponerme a hacer la cena y volver a intentarlo mañana. Por la cantidad de horas que he pasado al teléfono intentando arreglar varias cosas a lo largo de los años, podría haberme tomado dos semanas de vacaciones.
