Carrying on the American condition of being a nomad, this will be the 3rd time in 14 years living in Poland that we will have moved. It really our desire to leave the apartment we have but Joan's condition left us with no choice. If we had an elevator here, we would not have moved.

We signed the official contract for our new flat today with, I think, a man who will be a good owner of the apartment. Previously, we both made compromises of what will be done to the place before we occupy it on October 1st. It is all in the contract that we both, Joan and I, signed. Now it is just a matter of packing up everything we have, moving, and making the new place our home. We hope it will be our last. We do not want to move again. We will miss the quick access to Apteka, post office, medical clinic 3 food stores, the corner market, bus stand the bakery Pod Strzecha, and most all, our friends nearby and good neighbors who have helped us so much.

Kontynuując amerykańską zasadę bycia nomadami, będzie to już 3 raz w ciągu 14 lat mieszkania w Polsce, kiedy będziemy musieli się przeprowadzić. Naprawdę chcieliśmy opuścić mieszkanie, które mamy, ale stan Joanny nie pozostawił nam wyboru. Gdybyśmy mieli tu windę, nie przeprowadzalibyśmy się.

Podpisaliśmy dziś oficjalną umowę na nasze nowe mieszkanie z człowiekiem, który, jak sądzę, będzie dobrym jego właścicielem. Wcześniej oboje poszliśmy na kompromis co do tego, co zostanie zrobione z lokalem, zanim go zajmiemy 1 października. Wszystko to jest w umowie, którą oboje z Joanną podpisaliśmy. Teraz pozostaje tylko kwestia spakowania wszystkiego, co mamy, przeprowadzki i uczynienia nowego miejsca naszym domem. Mamy nadzieję, że to będzie nasz ostatni. Nie chcemy się znowu przeprowadzać. Będziemy tęsknić za szybkim dojazdem do Apteki, pocztą, przychodnią, 3 sklepami spożywczymi, marketem na rogu, przystankiem autobusowym, piekarnią Pod Strzechą, a przede wszystkim za pobliskimi przyjaciółmi i dobrymi sąsiadami, którzy tak bardzo nam pomogli.

Siguiendo con la condición americana de ser nómada, esta será la tercera vez en 14 años viviendo en Polonia que nos habremos mudado. Realmente era nuestro deseo dejar el apartamento que tenemos pero la condición de Joan nos dejó sin opción. Si tuviéramos un ascensor aquí, no nos habríamos mudado.

Hoy hemos firmado el contrato oficial de nuestro nuevo piso con, creo, un hombre que será un buen propietario del mismo. Previamente, ambos nos comprometimos a lo que se hará en el lugar antes de que lo ocupemos el 1 de octubre. Todo está en el contrato que ambos, Joan y yo, firmamos. Ahora sólo es cuestión de empacar todo lo que tenemos, mudarnos y hacer del nuevo lugar nuestro hogar. Esperamos que sea el último. No queremos volver a mudarnos. Echaremos de menos el rápido acceso a Apteka, la oficina de correos, la clínica médica, 3 tiendas de alimentación, el mercado de la esquina, la parada de autobús, la panadería Pod Strzecha y, sobre todo, nuestros amigos cercanos y los buenos vecinos que tanto nos han ayudado.
