"Houston, we have landed".

 Yes, finally, after  2 months of searching, we have a new apartment to move to. In the southern part of the city, not especially the place we wanted to be BUT it has all the necessary requirements for Joan. It is on the 4th floor of a 8 story building. However, it has an elevator from our floor to the underground parking thereby eliminating any stairs to take. Of course, it is smaller than our flat now. It has a bedroom, small kitchen, hallway, living room, and a large south-facing balcony. Important also it is unfurnished. Also, the shower is a walk-in shower so no stepping up or down and it is not a cabinet to climb into. That was becoming a problem in our current flat. The owner seems like an amiable person and was willing to make a few adjustments for us in negotiations. Our move-in date is Oct. 1st. I have contacted a moving company who will handle the move on that day. All I have to do is pack everything. :-)

I am so relieved to have this problem finally in hand. I was beginning to get tired of searching every day. I did not find this place. A very young real estate agent called me after seeing what I was looking for on a website. He is only 22 years old and he has been more helpful than other, older agents. Sometimes, experience dulls the senses. There are 2 pieces of furniture that will not fit into our new place so I must dispose of them.

Tak, wreszcie, po 2 miesiącach poszukiwań, mamy nowe mieszkanie, do którego możemy się przeprowadzić. W południowej części miasta, nieszczególnie w miejscu, w którym chcieliśmy być, ALE ma wszystkie niezbędne wymagania względem Joan. Znajduje się na 4 piętrze w 8 piętrowym budynku. Jednak z naszego piętra do podziemnego parkingu jest winda, co eliminuje konieczność pokonywania schodów. Oczywiście jest mniejsze niż nasze obecne mieszkanie. Posiada sypialnię, małą kuchnię, przedpokój, pokój dzienny oraz duży balkon od strony południowej. Ważne jest również to, że jest nieumeblowane. Prysznic jest typu walk-in, więc nie trzeba wchodzić ani wychodzić, nie ma też kabiny, do której trzeba się wspiąć. To właśnie stało się problematyczne w naszym obecnym mieszkaniu. Właściciel wydaje się być sympatyczną osobą i był skłonny dokonać kilku poprawek podczas negocjacji. Nasza data wprowadzenia się to 1 października. Skontaktowałem się z firmą, która zajmie się przeprowadzką w tym dniu. Wszystko, co muszę zrobić, to spakować wszystkie rzeczy :-)

Ulżyło mi, kiedy mam ten problem z głowy. Zaczynałem się już męczyć codziennymi poszukiwaniami. Nie znalazłem tego miejsca sam. Bardzo młody agent nieruchomości zadzwonił do mnie po obejrzeniu tego, czego szukałem na stronie internetowej. On ma tylko 22 lata i bardziej mi pomógł niż inni, starsi wiekiem agenci. Czasami, doświadczenie stępia zmysły. Są dwa meble, które nie będą pasować do naszego nowego miejsca, więc muszę się ich pozbyć.

 Sí, finalmente, después de 2 meses de búsqueda, tenemos un nuevo apartamento al que mudarnos. En la parte sur de la ciudad, no es especialmente el lugar donde queríamos estar PERO tiene todos los requisitos necesarios para Joan. Está en el cuarto piso de un edificio de 8 plantas. Sin embargo, tiene un ascensor desde nuestra planta hasta el aparcamiento subterráneo, con lo que no hay que subir escaleras. Por supuesto, es más pequeño que nuestro piso actual. Tiene un dormitorio, una pequeña cocina, un pasillo, un salón y un gran balcón orientado al sur. Es importante también que no esté amueblado. Además, la ducha es a ras de suelo, por lo que no hay que subir ni bajar y no hay que trepar por el armario. Eso se estaba convirtiendo en un problema en nuestro piso actual. El propietario parece una persona amable y estaba dispuesto a hacer algunos ajustes para nosotros en las negociaciones. Nuestra fecha de mudanza es el 1 de octubre. He contactado con una empresa de mudanzas que se encargará del traslado ese día. Todo lo que tengo que hacer es empacar todo. :-)

Me siento muy aliviada de tener este problema finalmente bajo control. Estaba empezando a cansarme de buscar todos los días. No encontré este lugar. Un agente inmobiliario muy joven me llamó después de ver lo que buscaba en una página web. Sólo tiene 22 años y me ha ayudado más que otros agentes de más edad. A veces, la experiencia embota los sentidos. Hay dos muebles que no caben en nuestro nuevo lugar, así que debo deshacerme de ellos.
