Concierto

One of my favorite conciertos is Concierto de Aranjuez. It has been played in many different styles with different instruments playing the melody. It was written for classical guitar by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo. Written in 1939, it is by far Rodrigo's best-known work, and its success established his reputation as one of the most significant Spanish composers of the 20th century.

The Concierto de Aranjuez was inspired by the gardens at the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, the spring resort palace and gardens built by Phillip II in the last half of the 16th century and rebuilt in the middle of the 18th century by Ferdinand VI. The work attempts to transport the listener to another place and time through the evocation of the sounds of nature.

Poland's own best classical guitarist, Lukasz Kuropaczewski, gave a performance of it a few years ago that Joan and I attended. The great Miles Davis made an excellent recording of it as well as many other jazz musicians. I listen to them at least once a month. Tonight I am listening to a version featuring Jim Hall on electric guitar and Paul Desmond on saxophone.

Using my crockpot, I made an excellent dinner tonight, Garlic-Parmesan Chicken with potatoes, carrots, celery, thyme, white wine, and parsley. We both really liked it. However, next time I will use sweet potatoes to see how they affect the taste.

Dzieło próbuje przenieść słuchacza w inne miejsce i czas poprzez przywołanie dźwięków natury.

Używając mojego wolnowara, zrobiłem dziś wspaniały obiad, Garlic-Parmesan Chicken z ziemniakami, marchewką, selerem, tymiankiem, białym winem i pietruszką.

All your crockpot meals sound delicious. I think I need to try more meals in mine. Such an easy way especially with your situation.
I have an instant pot which cooks meals quickly. All these kitchen helps are great but you need a place to store them.
    Happy cooking!
