Not surprised.

 Yesterday's news about Russia scaling back the war must not have reached Putin.  

LVIV, Ukraine March 26 (Reuters) - Russian forces have taken control of Ukraine's Slavutych, where workers at the defunct Chernobyl nuclear plant live, the governor of the Kyiv region said on Saturday.

In an online post, Governor Oleksandr Pavlyuk did not describe how the town had been taken but said some residents had unfurled a large Ukrainian flag and shouted "Glory to Ukraine" in protest.

He also said the Russians fired into the air to disperse the pro-Ukraine protest in the center of the town and had thrown stun grenades into the crowd.

On the bright side, if there are no changes before April 27th, Joan will be staying in the residence house near Nowy Tomysl, about an hour west of here.

My friend Joanna also told me about 2 other places closer. 1/2 hour, where it may be possible for her to stay. Joanna will call them this week to see if it is possible. I have looked at pictures of those places and the pictures look good. I would, of course, like her to be closer to reach so I could visit her every day. A month without Joan in my life will not be easy.

LVIV, Ukraina 26 marca (Reuters) - Siły rosyjskie przejęły kontrolę nad ukraińskim Sławutyczem, gdzie mieszkają pracownicy nieczynnej elektrowni atomowej w Czarnobylu - poinformował w sobotę gubernator obwodu kijowskiego. 

Gubernator Ołeksandr Pawluczuk nie opisał, w jaki sposób zajęto miasto, ale powiedział, że niektórzy mieszkańcy rozwinęli dużą ukraińską flagę i krzyczeli "Chwała Ukrainie" w proteście. 

Powiedział również, że Rosjanie strzelali w powietrze, aby rozpędzić proukraiński protest w centrum miasta, a także rzucali w tłum granaty ogłuszające. 

Z drugiej strony, jeśli do 27 kwietnia nic się nie zmieni, Joanna zatrzyma się w rezydencji w Nowym Tomyślu, około godziny drogi na zachód stąd. 

Moja przyjaciółka Joanna powiedziała mi też o dwóch innych miejscach, położonych bliżej, około 1/2 godziny, dtogi stad, gdzie być może Joan będzie mogła się zatrzymać. Joanna zadzwoni do nich w tym tygodniu, aby sprawdzić, czy jest to możliwe. Oglądałem zdjęcia tych miejsc i wyglądają dobrze. Oczywiście chciałbym, żeby była bliżej, żebym mógł ją codziennie odwiedzać. Miesiąc bez Joan w moim życiu nie będzie łatwy.

LVIV, Ucrania 26 de marzo (Reuters) - Las fuerzas rusas han tomado el control de la localidad ucraniana de Slavutych, donde viven los trabajadores de la extinta central nuclear de Chernóbil, según informó el sábado el gobernador de la región de Kiev.

En una publicación en Internet, el gobernador Oleksandr Pavlyuk no describió cómo habían tomado la ciudad, pero dijo que algunos residentes habían desplegado una gran bandera ucraniana y gritado "Gloria a Ucrania" en señal de protesta.

También dijo que los rusos dispararon al aire para dispersar la protesta pro-ucraniana en el centro de la ciudad y que habían lanzado granadas de aturdimiento a la multitud.

El lado positivo es que, si no hay cambios antes del 27 de abril, Joan se alojará en la residencia cerca de Nowy Tomysl, a una hora al oeste de aquí.

Mi amiga Joanna también me habló de otros dos lugares más cercanos. 1/2 hora, donde puede ser posible que se quede. Joanna los llamará esta semana para ver si es posible. He mirado fotos de esos lugares y las fotos se ven bien. Por supuesto, me gustaría que estuviera más cerca para poder visitarla todos los días. Un mes sin Joan en mi vida no será fácil.
