77 years ago the woman was born for me to love as I have for the last 47 years.
I started the day with flowers and a breakfast of bulgar and dried fruits. Then we watched a movie until early afternoon when we went to pick up 2 pictures I had framed. Joan's picture and the one of the house I built.
A friend, Malgorzata, told me about a new restaurant she was at last week and recommended it. She said the food they served was put together very differently and she liked it very much. I thought it would be an excellent place to take Joan for a birthday lunch. It was on the other side of town in the area called Jezycze. I know the area well from our previous life in the old apartment we had. There is a marketplace there where I buy Muscovy duck breasts sometimes. The name of the restaurant is Ciuciupaj(Choo choo pie). Fortunately, there was a parking spot right in front of their front door.
It is a small restaurant, with 8 tables and it has been there for 8 years. The menu was very varied with many different foods to try. However, when Joan saw the display case with cakes and pastries, she decided she would rather have dessert and coffee. It was her birthday so I didn't push the issue. She looked over the display and chose a strawberry cheesecake. Drinking coffee with it. she was very pleased with her choice.
When she and I were finished and the sun was shining, I took her to Solacki park for a little wheelchair ride around it. Together we spent about 2 hours there and then got into the traffic jammed road to our flat.

Znajdowa艂o si臋 ono po drugiej stronie miasta, w dzielnicy zwanej Je偶ycze. Dobrze znam t臋 okolic臋 z naszego poprzedniego 偶ycia w starym mieszkaniu, kt贸re mieli艣my. Jest tam targowisko, na kt贸rym czasem kupuj臋 piersi kaczki pi偶mowej. Restauracja nazywa si臋 Ciuciupaj (Choo choo pie). Na szcz臋艣cie tu偶 przed drzwiami wej艣ciowymi by艂o miejsce do zaparkowania.
Jest to ma艂a restauracja, z 8 stolikami, istniej膮ca od 8 lat. Menu by艂o bardzo urozmaicone i mo偶na by艂o spr贸bowa膰 wielu r贸偶nych potraw. Jednak gdy Joan zobaczy艂a witryn臋 z ciastami i ciasteczkami, zdecydowa艂a, 偶e woli zje艣膰 deser i napi膰 si臋 kawy. To by艂y jej urodziny, wi臋c nie naciska艂em. Obejrza艂a wystaw臋 i wybra艂a sernik truskawkowy. Popijaj膮c go kaw膮, by艂a bardzo zadowolona ze swojego wyboru.
Kiedy sko艅czyli艣my, a s艂o艅ce 艣wieci艂o, zabra艂em j膮 do Parku So艂ackiego na ma艂膮 przeja偶d偶k臋 w贸zkiem. Sp臋dzi艂y艣my tam oko艂o 2 godzin, a potem wsiad艂y艣my na zakorkowan膮 drog臋 do naszego mieszkania.

Empec茅 el d铆a con flores y un desayuno de bulgar y frutos secos. Luego vimos una pel铆cula hasta que a primera hora de la tarde fuimos a recoger dos fotos que hab铆a enmarcado. La foto de Joan y la de la casa que constru铆.
Una amiga, Malgorzata, me habl贸 de un nuevo restaurante en el que estuvo la semana pasada y me lo recomend贸. Por suerte, hab铆a una plaza de aparcamiento justo delante de su puerta.
Es un restaurante peque帽o, con 8 mesas y que lleva 8 a帽os. El men煤 era muy variado con muchos alimentos diferentes para probar. Sin embargo, cuando Joan vio la vitrina con tartas y pasteles, decidi贸 que prefer铆a tomar un postre y un caf茅. Era su cumplea帽os, as铆 que no insist铆. Mir贸 el expositor y eligi贸 una tarta de queso con fresas. Se tom贸 un caf茅 con ella. Estaba muy contenta con su elecci贸n.
Cuando ella y yo terminamos y el sol brillaba, la llev茅 al parque Solacki para dar un peque帽o paseo en silla de ruedas por 茅l. Pasamos juntos unas 2 horas all铆 y luego nos metimos en la carretera atascada de tr谩fico hasta nuestro piso.
