Beautiful day. We went to the botanical gardens at noon. It's the second day it is opened and lots of people were there, as in any weekend. I prefer the weekdays because of much less people but we wanted to see the spring blossoms before they were gone. We walked around for 3 hours, I took a lot of pictures, there was a wedding couple having their picture taken and we took time to sit on various benches and just watch the people go by.
The gardens are really incredible. So many varieties of flowers and trees, so many aromas to inhale. Sometimes you get so cought up in the beauty of the flowers that you forget there are so many different species of trees also. The next time we go we will concentrate on the trees. This time is was the flowers. The lilacs were gorgeous, in purples, whites and creme colors. The deep purple ones have the most aroma.
We watched a couple with a little child, maybe four years old who was fascinated by the fountain. When his parents weren't looking he ran towards the fountain and jumped into the water. Fortunately the water was not deep but his parents were freaked out when they realized what had happened, ran to save him and then scolded him. We thought it was funny because he had such a great time in the water and was in no danger. If he was I would have ran to help him.
After our time in the gardens we went to the Rynek for coffee. Sitting at a table, a waitress approached and it was the same one who has waited on us for the last two years. I don't know why but I was so surprised it was her I couldn't even say the simple words "Prosze, cafe latte, dwa razy". She looked at me, smiled and said, "you want two cafe latte's? and I said yes. We sat there for two hours talking and returned home.
At home Joan prepared a new meal for us, Zrazy wieprzowe zawijane cordon bleu (breaded pork rollups cordon bleu). She served them with potatoes and walnut salad. They were excellent.

Everything looks so good. Anything we do when I get to Poznan will be just fine, because everything you do interests me.
We are far from having lilacs out, although some of the earlier blooming bushes are now coming into full glory.
