Reform

A quiet day today with not much happening other than studying and reading about the story of the controversy in education in Poland. The minister of education wants the age for entering school changed from age 7 to age 6 and there are a lot of parents opposed to the idea. In most of Europe, the starting age is 6 but Poland still remains at 7. The battle over lowering the age children in Poland must start school returned to the parliament this week following the success of a campaign by unhappy parents. Members most of their day arguing about the decision to lower the age. They have two weeks to decide to order a referendum about the subject.
