Contract time.

It's that time again when we have to renew our contract on the flat we have. Our current one expires on the 22nd so we need to get it done soon.. It's the beginning of our 6th year here and we have been signing two year contracts since then. Obviously, we like living in this location because it's not in the city proper and there is a lot of greenery around us. We've been here long enough that there are actually people on the street who say hello to us when we pass.

Another hot day, 32c, sunny but with a little rain this afternoon. We watched the boring Euro 2016 championship game and were so happy when it was finally over but not with the result. From the way both teams played, I think Poland could have easily been in that game with just a little luck on a penalty kick. Oh well, that's the way it goes.

We're having a nice cold salad for dinner tonight which we will probably eat on the balcony when the sun is on the other side of the building providing a shaded balcony.  Salads are big for summer meals and in winter there are various soups Joan makes.

Ponownie nadszedł czas, gdy musimy odnowić umowę wynajmu mieszkania, które mamy. Aktualna kończy się 22.07 więc musimy zrobić to szybko . To początek naszego 6. roku tutaj i od tego czasu zostały podpisane dwie umowy. Oczywiście, lubimy żyć w tym miejscu, ponieważ nie jest to właściwe centrum miasta, a wokół nas jest dużo zieleni. Jesteśmy tu na tyle długo, że ludzie na ulicy rzeczywiście witają się z nami, gdy ich mijamy.

Kolejny gorący, słoneczny dzień z 32.C,  ale z odrobiną deszczu po południu. Oglądaliśmy nudne mistrzostwa Euro 2016 i byliśmy zadowoleni, kiedy wreszcie się skończyły, ale nie jesteśmy zadowoleni z wyniku. Z tego, jak obie drużyny grały, myślę, że Polska mogłaby łatwo być w tej grze ale z odrobiną szczęścia w rzutach karnych. No cóż, tak to się dzieje.

Na obiad zjemy smaczną zimną sałatkę, które prawdopodobnie będziemy jeść na balkonie, kiedy słońce znajduje się po drugiej stronie budynku, zapewniając balkonowi cień. Dla letnich posiłków sałatki są obfite, a  zimowych - różne zupy, które robi Joan.
