Raining today, off and on, so we didn't go anywhere, just stayed at home, studied and were lazy. We did take a little walk between the rains and were surprised to see some goldenrod already in full blossom. It's really early for it but in these times, anything is possible.

I read an interesting review about a new movie I think I want to see, The Innocents. The film is a French-Polish-Belgian co-production that was supported by the Polish Film Institute and the Film Commission of Poland. Principal photography began on 13 January 2015 in the Warmia region in Poland, and lasted for seven weeks. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. The plot is  in 1945 Poland, when a young French Red Cross doctor is sent to assist the survivors of the German camps discovers several nuns in advanced stages of pregnancies during a visit to a nearby convent. The nuns have been raped by Soviet soldiers.

Dziś pada. Przestaje i zaczyna. Nigdzie nie poszliśmy, zostaliśmy w domu, uczyliśmy się i leniuchowaliśmy.  W przerwie między opadami wybraliśmy się na mały spacer. Zadziwiło nas, że kwitną nawłocie. To wcześnie jak na nie, jednak w tych czasach wszystko jest możliwe.  

 

Czytałem interesującą recenzję nowego filmu, chcę go obejrzeć - "Niewinne". Film jest koprodukcją francusko-polsko-belgijską, której produkcja była wsparta przez Polski Instytut Filmowy i Polską Komisję Filmową. Zdjęcia zaczęły się 13 stycznia 2015 na Warmii i trwały siedem tygodni. Film miał premierę na Festiwalu Sundance w styczniu 2016 r. Akcja dzieje się w 1945 r. w Polsce, gdy młody francuski doktor pracujący dla Czerwonego Krzyża, zostaje wysłany do pomocy ocalałym z niemieckich obozów. Odwiedzając pobliski klasztor, natrafia na kilka zakonnic w zaawansowanej ciąży. Zakonnice zostały zgwałcone przez żołnierzy sowieckich.
