Frustration.

Today was the first time I was totally frustrated at the end of my Polish lesson. I'm just constantly bombarded with grammar and it never gets easier There is no rhyme or reason to it for an English brain to comprehend, at least not mine. Maybe it's the age thing but whatever the reason, I don't like it. Of course if I was living in a situation where |I absolutely had to speak Polish 24/7 I would be much farther ahead and probably without all this grammar being pushed on me but I'm not. I can get by in most general situations with what I know already but it is not enough for me.  I seek refuge in Spanish, it makes sense to me.

Well, both sides have made their case now to the American public and for the next 90 days it will be total war between the two of them to say everything bad about their opposing candidate. It is probably going to be the worst presidential campaign ever. Our decision, Joan's and mine, is already made. It was an easy one to make considering who the ONLY two candidates are although that in itself is the problem. The two party system does not work for us, there should be at least three choices. We listened to Clinton and while we don't believe everything she said we also listened to Trump. We believe what he said, that he will build a wall by Mexico, that he will ban Muslims from the U.S. that he thinks only HE can make America great again, that he calls for Russia to hack emails, that he thinks Putin and Kim Jung Su are good leaders, that he may not defend NATO allies and many other absurd things. That is why is it easy for us to use of votes for Clinton. To let a man like him take the oath of the Presidency is insane. But why should we care? We don't live there anymore but our children and grandchildren do. It wouldn't be the first time the U.S. didn't defend it's allies as Poland know all too well

Dziś po raz pierwszy byłem sfrustrowany na koniec mojej lekcji polskiego. Jestem bezustannie bombardowany gramatyką , a nic nie staje się łatwiejsze. Nie ma ładu i składu, aby  angielski rozum mógł to zrozumieć, a przynajmniej nie mój. Może to sprawa wieku, ale niezależnie od przyczyny, nie podoba mi się to. Oczywiście, gdybym żył w sytuacji, kiedy absolutnie miałbym mówić po polsku  24 godziny na dobę przez 7 dni w tygodniu , to byłbym znacznie dalej i pewnie bez tej całej gramatyki, do której jestem zmuszany, ale nie jestem. Radzę sobie w sytuacjach najbardziej ogólnych z tym, co już wiem, ale to jest dla mnie za mało. Szukam „azylu” w języku hiszpańskim, ma to dla mnie sens.

Cóż, obie strony przedstawiły swoje stanowiska  amerykańskiej opinii publicznej i przez następne 90 dni  będzie pomiędzy nimi totalna wojna , żeby powiedzieć  wszystko co najgorsze o przeciwniku. Prawdopodobnie będzie to najgorsza w historii kampania prezydencka. Joan i ja podjęliśmy już decyzję. To było łatwe  biorąc pod uwagę, że jest tylko dwóch kandydatów, chociaż jest to problem sam w sobie. System dwu-partyjny nie działa na nas, powinny być co najmniej trzy możliwości. Słuchaliśmy Clinton i choć nie wierzymy we wszystko, co powiedziała, to również słuchaliśmy Trumpa. Wierzymy we wszystko, co powiedział, że zbuduje mur na granicy z  Meksykiem, że wykluczy muzułmanów z USA, że jest jedynym, który myśli , że tylko on ponownie uczyni Amerykę wielką, że wzywa Rosję do  hakowania emaili, że on myśli, że Putin i Kim Jung Su są dobrymi liderami, że nie może bronić sojuszników z NATO i wiele innych absurdalnych rzeczy . To nie byłby pierwszy raz, kiedy USA nie broni sojuszników , o czym Polska wie aż nadto dobrze. Dlatego jest nam  łatwiej głosować na Clinton. Pozwolić takiemu człowiekowi na złożenie przysięgi prezydenckiej jest szalone. Ale dlaczego powinniśmy o to zadbać? Już tam nie żyjemy, ale nasze dzieci i wnuki tak.
