TriBiotic is working. The red color is going away and swelling coming down. Today the surgeon took all of the stitches out, told me to exercise the fingers and massage the area where the stitches were to soften the tissues. He re-bandaged the hand and said he didn't have to see me anymore unless something new developed. That sounded good to me.
The problem with our energy company, Enea, is that they have a new account number and my payment went to the old one. I had to make a new payment to the new number. However, our bank shows the first payment taken out of our account so now I have to talk to the bank and find out where that money is. It's always something!
Still, it was a nice day today with sunshine and 19c so no complaints here.
A few days ago taxi driver blocked the main streets in Poznań protesting the use of Uber drivers in Poland. They want the government to prohibit them in Poland. Their argument is that they are not making enough money now because Uber drivers are cheaper to use. Also, they day Uber drivers have no license to drive people around and they don't pay taxes. Uber is very popular because the drivers are courteous, their vehicles are cleaner, they are always on time and people like that. It will be interesting to see what happens.
TriBiotic działa. Czerwony kolor odchodzi i spada obrzęk. Dziś chirurg wziął wszystkie szwy, powiedział mi, żebym ćwiczył palce i masażystka, w której szwy miały zmiękczyć tkanki. Powtórzył bandaż ręką i powiedział, że nie musi mnie więcej widzieć, chyba że coś nowego się rozwinie. To mi się podobało.
Problem z naszą firmą energetyczną, Enea, polega na tym, że mają nowy numer konta, a moja płatność dotarła do starej. Musiałem dokonać nowej płatności na nowy numer. Jednak nasz bank pokazuje pierwszą płatność pobraną z naszego konta, więc teraz muszę porozmawiać z bankiem i sprawdzić, gdzie są te pieniądze. To zawsze coś!
Jeszcze dzisiaj był miły dzień z słońcem i 19c, więc nie ma tu skarg.
Kilka dni temu taksówkarz zablokował główne ulice w Poznaniu, protestując przeciwko używaniu w Polsce kierowców marki Uber. Chcą, żeby rząd zabronił ich w Polsce. Ich argumentem jest to, że nie zarabiają wystarczająco dużo pieniędzy, ponieważ kierowcy Uber są tańsi w użyciu. Ponadto kierowcy Uber nie mają prawa jazdy dookoła i nie płacą podatków. Uber jest bardzo popularny, ponieważ kierowcy są uprzejmi, ich pojazdy są czystsze, są zawsze na czas i ludzie lubią to. Ciekawe, co się dzieje.

Am amazed about the difference in Uber business (PL) there and here (U.S.). Because, since its inception there have been quite a number of egregious crimes
ReplyDeleteconcerning Uber. From drivers beating up customers, to drivers driving erratically,
to a very recent news story of a teenager girl stabbing an Uber driver to death.

I know a man who works for Uber who told me upfront how "easy" (no real vetting or oversight) the hiring process is. Another elderly friend will not under any circumstances, call for an Uber ride (I wouldn't either, from all I've been hearing over the years).
And, yes, the very competitive taxi industry in Chicago has been outraged and fighting back since Uber (and its competition) came upon the scene....

Maybe it has to do with all of the Uber drivers are Polish and Poznań is small.
