Surprise meeting.

What a difference a day makes. Twenty four little hours. However, even ten seconds makes a difference. Case in point, today, on a beautiful day, we went to the rynek, parked the car underground and walked to the outside door. Just as we opened it, cousin Polar Kielar was passing by. We haven't seen her in four years. We stopped and talked for about fifteen minutes. She was on her way to a movie theatre and we to the rynek. I didn't have my camera but my phone took these pictures. If there had been a ten second difference in our journey we would have missed each other.

On Saturday at the Old Market Square in Poznań, this year's edition of the St. John's Fair began.

This is a commercial and cultural event. - The tradition of fairs dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries (although they took place earlier), when the greatest boom of trade fair in Poznań took place. At the market they were buying merchants from different, often very distant, European countries.
This year, apart from Polish, there are Kazakh and Belarussian stands at the fair. In total, you can buy products from over 100 exhibitors. Traders are waiting for customers from 10:00 to 21:00. The fair has also an artistic part. Apart from concerts or theater performances, there are workshops for children.

Jana.
Jest to wydarzenie komercyjne i kulturalne. - Tradycja targów sięga XVI i XVII w. (Choć miały miejsce wcześniej), kiedy to miał miejsce największy boom targów w Poznaniu.
