No ranting.

Electoral College day. This isn't a rant, I just feel sorry for everyone in the United States. The country is torn apart because of one man. If the College does what it should and names Biden the next President, 74 million Americans are going to be angry for the next four years. Over 80 million will be happy he won but still with a sense of danger for the next four years. That man has done something no one else has, he's divided the country and brought the dark side of America into focus. If the two Senatorial seats in Georgia are not won by the Democrats, January 5th, Biden will have the same fate as the Obama presidency. Very little will be accomplished. It will set the stage for the possibility of"that man" returning to the presidency and finishing the destruction of the country. It's a sad thought for me.

Joan and I left America in 2007, long before this has all happened. We didn't leave because of the discontent of the government, it was mainly to find my family here in Poland. We still have adult children and grandchildren there and are concerned about their well-being. It is a very dangerous time now for the country.

We have assimilated into life in Poland and feel comfortable with living here. We see the change that is happening here and don't necessarily agree with it but there is no talk of civil war. Even without the official title of President, one man rules the country. He is not exactly like the one in America but there are similarities. However, he has done some good things for Poland and some not so good. There is a good group of friends that can be counted on in dark times for us, like now for us.

Because of the time difference between the two countries, we won't know the results of the Electoral College until tomorrow. Although Trump may have influenced the vote of some electors, I am fairly confident Biden will be named the next president by the EC.

Dzień Kolegium Wyborczego. To nie jest randka, po prostu żal mi wszystkich w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Kraj jest rozdarty z powodu jednego człowieka. Jeżeli Kolegium zrobi to, co powinno i nazwie Biden następnym prezydentem, 74 miliony Amerykanów będzie wściekłych przez następne cztery lata. Ponad 80 milionów będzie zadowolonych, że wygrał, ale nadal z poczuciem zagrożenia na najbliższe cztery lata. Ten człowiek zrobił coś, czego nie zrobił nikt inny, podzielił kraj i skupił uwagę na ciemnej stronie Ameryki. Jeśli dwa mandaty senatorskie w Gruzji nie zostaną zdobyte przez demokratów, 5 stycznia Biden będzie miał taki sam los jak prezydent Obama. Bardzo niewiele zostanie osiągnięte. W ten sposób powstanie szansa na to, że "ten człowiek" powróci na stanowisko prezydenta i zakończy niszczenie kraju. To dla mnie smutna myśl.

Joanna i ja opuściliśmy Amerykę w 2007 roku, na długo przed tym jak to wszystko się stało. Nie wyjechaliśmy z powodu niezadowolenia rządu, chodziło głównie o to, by znaleźć moją rodzinę tutaj, w Polsce. Wciąż mamy tam dorosłe dzieci i wnuki i martwimy się o ich dobro. Jest to teraz bardzo niebezpieczny czas dla kraju.

Przyswoiliśmy się do życia w Polsce i czujemy się tu komfortowo. Widzimy zmiany, które tu zachodzą i niekoniecznie się z nimi zgadzamy, ale nie ma mowy o wojnie domowej. Nawet bez oficjalnego tytułu prezydenta, krajem rządzi jeden człowiek. Nie jest on dokładnie taki jak w Ameryce, ale są podobieństwa. Zrobił jednak kilka dobrych rzeczy dla Polski, a kilka nie tak dobrych. Istnieje dobra grupa przyjaciół, na których można liczyć w mrocznych czasach dla nas, jak i teraz dla nas.

Ze względu na różnicę czasu między tymi dwoma krajami, wyniki Kolegium Wyborczego poznamy dopiero jutro. Chociaż Trump mógł mieć wpływ na głosowanie niektórych wyborców, jestem dość pewna, że Biden zostanie mianowany przez KE kolejnym prezydentem.

Día del Colegio Electoral. Esto no es una perorata, solo lo siento por todos en los Estados Unidos. El país está destrozado por un solo hombre. Si el Colegio hace lo que debe y nombra a Biden como el próximo presidente, 74 millones de estadounidenses estarán enojados durante los próximos cuatro años. Más de 80 millones estarán felices de haber ganado, pero aún con una sensación de peligro durante los próximos cuatro años. Ese hombre ha hecho algo que nadie más ha hecho, ha dividido el país y ha enfocado el lado oscuro de Estados Unidos. Si los dos escaños senatoriales en Georgia no los ganan los demócratas, el 5 de enero, Biden correrá la misma suerte que la presidencia de Obama. Se logrará muy poco. Se preparará el escenario para la posibilidad de que "ese hombre" regrese a la presidencia y termine la destrucción del país. Es un pensamiento triste para mí.

Joan y yo dejamos Estados Unidos en 2007, mucho antes de que todo esto sucediera. No nos fuimos por el descontento del gobierno, fue principalmente para encontrar a mi familia aquí en Polonia. Todavía tenemos hijos adultos y nietos allí y estamos preocupados por su bienestar. Es un momento muy peligroso para el país.

Nos hemos asimilado a la vida en Polonia y nos sentimos cómodos viviendo aquí. Vemos el cambio que está ocurriendo aquí y no necesariamente estamos de acuerdo con él, pero no se habla de guerra civil. Incluso sin el título oficial de presidente, un hombre gobierna el país. No es exactamente como el de Estados Unidos, pero hay similitudes. Sin embargo, ha hecho algunas cosas buenas para Polonia y otras no tanto. Hay un buen grupo de amigos con los que podemos contar en tiempos oscuros para nosotros, como ahora para nosotros.

Debido a la diferencia horaria entre los dos países, no conoceremos los resultados del Colegio Electoral hasta mañana. Aunque Trump puede haber influido en el voto de algunos electores, estoy bastante seguro de que Biden será nombrado el próximo presidente por la CE.
