Excellent day.

As it is a beautiful Spring day, we hope it will stay around and turn into summer, banishing winter until later this year.

With a day like today, I just had to take Joan outside and go for the first visit of the rynek this year. We went to our usual place, the Room, and were happy to meet with our old waiter from last year, Eugeniusz. He's a young man in his mid-twenties with a love of travel and he told us of the places he visited since we last met. He returned from Madrid and Tenerife not long ago so we had a lot to talk about exchanging our adventures.

The menu has been changed there, upgraded as they say and with it the prices. Joan was a little hungry so she ordered caffe Mrzona and apple pie. I chose the same coffee but with cheesecake, We sat and talked for a while and then walked around the rynek viewing a few changes in cafes and a civil wedding. Rather than just walking back to the car we took a walk up Wrocławska street and were pleasantly surprised to see that it has been completely renovated, including the street itself. It leads directly to Kupieć Pozńanska, a shopping center. Turning to the right we passed a tram stop and I took pictures of people. I like the one of the man sitting in the tram looking at me.

From there we went back to Plac Wolnośći where our car was parked underground. The fountain is working, water flowing all around it, so I took several pictures while Joan sat on a bench sunbathing. Back home, I wrote this blog, made the picture show and Joan prepared dinner for tonight, a Cobb salad.

Prowadzi bezpośrednio do Kupset Pozńanska, centrum handlowego. Skręcając w prawo przejechaliśmy przystanek tramwajowy i robiłem zdjęcia ludzi.

Great pictures. Buildings, fountains, flowers, etc. are nice but including people makes the shots vibrant and more interesting. I am the anon. who agrees with your views and understand that you try to avoid politics BUT my fears of the so-called POTUS grow deeper every day. I worry about how he is weakening the pillars of our great democracy by his dictatorial tactics (and tin-horned at that). God help the US because the party in power isn't. They just sit back and enable the Clown-in-Chief using him to further their agenda, at least before he implodes, which is inevitable.

  2. Yes, I've hear that comment about people before. About the implode, it better come soon or there will be nothing left to implode.
