Mother's things.

 I have a few things that belonged to my mother, her cookbook, pictures, a "dream" catcher that she made, a small pitcher and a plate made in Silesia. her rosary, prayer books, bible, and her Scrabble game. The most used of them all is the Scrabble game. It must at least 45 years old. We have been using it now every day to help Joan remember words and how to spell them. I never imagined that someday I would be using it as a tool for cognitive memory, maybe even for both of us.

I have been missing some appointments because something comes up before their time and I just don't think about them. I very much don't like when I have a meeting and no one shows up. Now, lately, I am the one missing the meetings.

Today was a good weather day but it had the opposite effect on Joan. For a few hours after she woke up, she was fine and then suddenly she became very sleepy. I finally managed to get her back in bed at 14:30 and laid down beside her. The next thing I knew it was 5:30. I didn't feel tired when I laid down beside her.

Ostatnio opuściłem kilka spotkań, bo coś wypadało przed ich zaczęciem i po prostu o nich nie myślę. Bardzo nie lubię, kiedy mam spotkanie i nikt się nie pojawia. Teraz, ostatnio, to ja jestem tym, któremu nie stawia się na spotkania.

Dzisiaj była ładna pogoda, ale na Joan zadziałało to zupełnie odwrotnie. Przez kilka godzin po przebudzeniu czuła się dobrze, a potem nagle stała się bardzo senna. W końcu o 14:30 udało mi się ją położyć z powrotem do łóżka i położyłem się obok niej. Następną rzeczą, którą odnotowałem to była godzina 17:30. Nie czułem się zmęczony, kiedy położyłem się obok niej.

He faltado a algunas citas porque surge algo antes de su hora y simplemente no pienso en ellas. No me gusta nada cuando tengo una reunión y no aparece nadie. Ahora, últimamente, soy yo la que se pierde las reuniones.

Hoy ha sido un día de buen tiempo pero ha tenido el efecto contrario en Joan. Durante unas horas después de despertarse, estuvo bien y de repente se puso muy somnolienta. A las 14:30 horas conseguí meterla en la cama y me acosté a su lado. Lo siguiente que recuerdo es que eran las 5:30. No me sentí cansado cuando me acosté a su lado.
