Yesterday was food shopping day but we had so much food given to us for Easter from a friend and a neighbor that I didn't have to buy a lot. It only took me 1/2 hour and the cost was 133 PLN($38). The menu from last week was used along with the already bought foods.
I made a large pot of the Hungarian Cherry Soup and gave half of it to our neighbor to try. I am interested in what they thought about it, We very much like it and I think it will be good in the summer served cold, similar to the Polish chłodnik soup.
Bartosz was here early yesterday, 10:15, and because I let Joan sleep late, I had to rush in order to get Joan ready for him. She is really getting tired of this therapy. It has been almost a year since she started with it. Today is the 1 year anniversary of her return to Poland after the stroke in Spain. What a time that was!
However, today the sun is out, it will be warmer weather this Sunday and Monday, I continue to be in love with my wife, and life is good, not perfect by any means, but still good. Unfortunately, I have gained 6 kilos during this pandemia. I have to stop baking so much. :-(
Wczoraj był dzień na zrobienie zakupów spożywczych, ale mieliśmy tak dużo jedzenia podarowanego nam na Wielkanoc przez przyjaciół i sąsiadów, że nie musiałem dużo kupować. Zajęło mi to tylko 1/2 godziny, a koszt wyniósł 133 zł ($38). Menu z zeszłego tygodnia zostało wykorzystane razem z już kupionymi produktami.
Ugotowałem duży garnek węgierskiej zupy wiśniowej i połowę dałam do spróbowania naszym sąsiadom. Jestem ciekawy, co o niej sądzą, nam bardzo smakuje i myślę, że będzie dobra w lecie podawana na zimno, podobnie jak polska zupa chłodnik.
Wczoraj Bartek był wcześniej , bo o 10:15, a ponieważ pozwoliłem Joannie spać do późna, musiałem się spieszyć, żeby przygotować ją na jego przyjazd. Ona jest już naprawdę zmęczona tą terapią. Minął już prawie rok, odkąd ją zaczęła. Dziś mija rok od jej powrotu do Polski po udarze w Hiszpanii. Co to był za czas!
Ale dzisiaj jest słońce, w niedzielę i poniedziałek będzie cieplej, ja nadal jestem zakochany w mojej żonie i życie jest dobre, nie idealne, ale dobre. Niestety, podczas tej pandemii przytyłem 6 kilogramów. Muszę przestać tak dużo piec :-(.
Ayer fue el día de la compra de alimentos, pero nos regalaron tanta comida por Pascua un amigo y un vecino que no tuve que comprar mucho. Sólo me llevó media hora y el coste fue de 133 PLN (38 dólares). Utilicé el menú de la semana pasada junto con los alimentos ya comprados.
Hice una olla grande de la sopa de cerezas húngara y le di la mitad a nuestro vecino para que la probara. Me interesa saber qué les pareció, a nosotros nos gusta mucho y creo que será buena en verano servida fría, similar a la sopa chłodnik polaca.
Bartosz estuvo aquí ayer temprano, a las 10:15, y como dejé que Joan se durmiera hasta tarde, tuve que apresurarme para que Joan estuviera lista para él. Se está cansando de esta terapia. Hace casi un año que empezó con ella. Hoy se cumple un año de su regreso a Polonia después de la apoplejía en España. ¡Qué tiempos aquellos!
Sin embargo, hoy ha salido el sol, este domingo y lunes hará más calor, sigo enamorado de mi mujer y la vida es buena, no perfecta ni mucho menos, pero sí buena. Desgraciadamente, he engordado 6 kilos durante esta pandemia. Tengo que dejar de hornear tanto. :-(
