Missed.

I guess I missed a posting yesterday. Well, we went to Merlins, picked up the drapes and went to the flat to put them up. The picture doesn't really show a true color of them, they are far more red than they look. I guess the white light from the shades made them look darker. We took a few more boxes of stuff with us when we went, like we always do when we go there.

Today I took over the glass doors for the cabinets that will be moved from here to our new flat so they wouldn't get broken in transit. Joan decided where we will hang the non-family pictures in the rooms when we do make the final move Thursday so that is out of the way. I will use the two walls in the hallway and the dining room wall for family pictures as well as the family tree. Still have to frame most of the pictures for hanging and then arrange them. WOW!! Finally we will have pcitures on the walls after two years. That's a big thing for us.

This was/is a big weekend in the Rynek. Not only the Jehovah's Witnesses visiting but also a festival of Jewish culture in Poznań. Today the Rynek was not so crowded with people, more like a normal weekday. It rained off and on, was cool enough to wear pants instead of shorts and the sun only shined part of the time.

I took some pictures of the szafka with door handles, with the clothes in it we took over today, Joan resting in her new recliner and then finally the beautiful flowers that are by the entrance to our new building. If you know the names of these flowers, please tell me.

Only 3 days to go to moving. Tuesday will be busy waiting for the intenet man to hook up the cable and then the delivery man with the balcony furniture. Wednesday I'll have to dismantle the bed and szafka, disconnect the TV and pack the last boxes of whatever food we have here. Thursday the movers will arrive at 9AM and then the fun begins.

Sądzę, że chybiłem posyłania wczoraj. Dobrze, poszliśmy do Ptaków Falco columbarius, podnieśliśmy zasłony i poszliśmy do mieszkania by podnieść ich.

Tylko 3 dni by pójść do poruszenia. Środa będę musiał rozebrać łóżko i szafka, rozłączyć telewizję i zapakować ostatnie pudełka jakiejkolwiek żywności, którą mamy tutaj. Czwartek napędy przybędą do 9AM i wtedy zabawa zaczyna się.

    Dear Joan and David,

Obadiah is right, they are hydrangea or in Polish - hortensja.
Flowers change color from pink to blue and is depended on pH of the soil. Those flowers can be preseved by hanging them in dark dry place upside down or putting them in the bag full of moisture absorbing gel. There si a lot of flowers in Poland that can be preserved for dry flower arragements. You cna also dry some leaves in the fall to use in those too. Leaves and wild flowers you maybe able to collect when you walk around your new area or go into the forest.

Looks like your place is comming right along superbly.

    Good luck and best wishes
