OW!

Joan and cousin Oliwia Kupińska

Yes........OW! Cousin Oliwia called last night to say she would be in Poznań today to visit. I told you she is studying in England and is back for a visit to her parents in Koniń. We picked her up at the train station and took her to see our new apartment. I had her sit in one of the new recliners but she couldn't get it to go back so I put my fingers on the footrest to push it back. I didn't realize my index finger was between to pieces of wood so when the recliner changed positions it caught my finger in between them. YIKES!!!! That hurt, the nail turned blue and the finger swelled up. 5 hours later and it still hurts, even doing this typing with my thumb.
We talked for about an hour and then took her to the Rynek to have lunch. When we were done we went back to our old flat and waited for cousin Artur to pick her up.

Yes........OW! Kuzyna Oliwia zawołał ubiegłej nocy by powiedzieć, że ona będzie w Poznań dzisiaj by bywać. Powiedziałem tobie ona studiuje w Anglii i jest z powrotem dla wizyty do jej rodziców w Koniń. Podnieśliśmy ją przy dworcu kolejowym i wzięliśmy ją by zobaczyć nasz nowy apartament. YIKES!!!! Które niech zrani, gwóźdź skręcił niebieski i palec puchł. 5 godzin później i to jeszcze rani, nawet robiąc to pisanie z moim kciukiem.
Powiedzieliśmy przez około godzinę i wtedy wzięliśmy ją do Rynek by mieć posiłek południowy. Kiedy byliśmy zrobieni wróciliśmy do naszego starego mieszkania i czekaliśmy na kuzyna Artur, żeby podniósł ją.

Hi Leanne.

Thanks for reading about our adventure.
As for the langauge, we are still learning. It's a lonnnnnnnnnnnng process but not impossible if you keep at it everyday. Start building a vocabulary of common everyday expressions that are usefull to you. Learn words, we learn five a day and go over and over our growing list continually.

When will you be moving here? Why are you moving here and where will you live?

Hi, my fiance is Polish and his family live in Malbork! I have been visiting Poland on holiday with him for 4 years and i just love it!! We have been to lots of places and we want to get married and start a family there. I cannot wait! Slightly stressful of course, as all new things are. We hope to move in the new year.

Hi Leanne,
The fact that yhour fiance is Polish is a huge factor in your learning the language. My wife's and I only problem is not being able to speak enough Polish with people everyday.I am sure the learning curve will be better for you.
We were in Malbork last year and, of course, it was mainly to see the fortress.
Yes, there will be a lot of stress but worth it once you settle in and start your new life.
