Medicine costs.

It always amazes me going to the apteka(Pharmacy) to fill Joan's prescriptions, all 5 of them for two months. The total cost was 93 zl($25). In the U.S. this would cost several hundred dollars. The rip-off(theft) of the pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. is well documented but nobody, senators, representatives, governments has put a stop to it yet. The general public is held hostage by the legal drug industry.

The cold weather continues, as expected, but there was sunshine today and only -2c so that was good.

A knock on the door this morning was from the receptionist downstairs in the doctors office where Joan had a 15;00 appointment. They wanted to change it to 13:00, tried to call us but got a message that Joan was offline although she wasn't. This has been a recurring problem with our Orange provider the last two weeks. So, they came upstairs to ask us to change our meeting time which we did. When we came back home I called Orange, again, told them the problem, again, and maybe this time they have corrected it. I took my phone when I went to the apteka and called Joan and the call went through so maybe it is working OK now, I hope.

Zawsze zdumiewa mnie wizyta w aptece, kiedy zrealizuję na dwa miesiące wszystkie 5 recept dla Joan. Całkowity koszt to 93 zl ($ 25). W Stanach Zjednoczonych kosztowałoby to kilkaset dolarów. Zdzierstwo firm farmaceutycznych w Stanach Zjednoczonych jest dobrze udokumentowane, ale nikt, senatorowie, przedstawiciele rządów nie położyło temu kres. Opinia publiczna jest zakładnikiem legalnego przemysłu farmaceutycznego.

Zgodnie z oczekiwaniami, zimna pogoda się utrzymuje, ale dzisiaj było słońce dzisiaj i tylko -2 ° C tak, że było dobre.

Chcieli je zmienić na godzinę13:00, próbowali się do nas dodzwonić, ale otrzymali wiadomość, że Joan telefon jest wyłączony, choć tak nie było. To jest w przeciągu ostatnich dwóch tygodni  powtarzający się problem z naszym dostawcą,  Orange. Tak więc, obsługa gabinetu przyszła do nas na górę, aby prosić o zmianę godziny, co zrobiliśmy. Kiedy wróciliśmy do domu,  po raz kolejny zadzwoniłem do Orange i ponownie powiedziałem im o problemie; może tym razem naprawią go. Kiedy poszedłem do apteki, wziąłem ze sobą mój telefon, zadzwoniłem do Joan i nastąpiło połączenie, więc mam nadzieję, że może działa prawidłowo.
