Chicago fireworks.

After last nights dinner Joan and I watched the fireworks display in Chicago via YouTube. I posted it on the right side. We been to them a few times during our years in that city and, of course, the video doesn't do them justice. However, it was nice to see them from across Lake Michigan this  time. I couldn't help but think of the original fireworks of America that were not in celebration but the bombing of Fort McHenry by the British in 1812, It inspired Francis Scott Keys to write the American National Anthem.

I finally reconnected with my Spanish conversation partner, Julio, after some time just in time to find out he is going on vacation to Croatia. I told him about our travels there and how much we enjoyed the country.

Earlier I met with the hand surgeon and he said everything looked good but the little finger will still take more time to recover because of the extensive surgery. Right now it looks like a little red kiełbasa compared to the other fingers. :-)

On teraz wygląda trochę, jak mała czerwona kiełbaska w porównaniu z innymi palcami. :-)

No thinking person could be "proud" of Trump. He's a complete embarrassment--an incompetent fool surprisingly thrust into a position that he is completely unqualified for. Hope Putin takes him back to his Russian "lady friends" and keeps him there.
    The wise anonym.
