Advanced planning and selling.

I think most people think of vacations as a time for rest and relaxation. Joan and I think of them as a time to see as much as we can at the destinations we choose. I can't remember the last time we on a rest/relaxation vacation. There isn't anything wrong with that idea it's just that there are so many beautifull, historic, interesting places we have not seen yet we don't want to waste our time sitting on a beach doing nothing. So for us it's just go, go, go the whole time. Coming from where we come, a 8-10 hour drive is no big deal. That's part of the vacation, to the land we travel through and have the opportunity to take a side road to see something else interesting. It's why we took the long way from Vienna to Budapest, to some of Slovakia. This trip to Croatia will be no different.

Of course, I will have it all planned out before we leave, have all the accomodations booked and the route chosen. I'm already in contact with people on Airbnb for places to stay along the way even though it's not until next April. I'll probably even buy a map of Croatia although we won't need it now since we will use GPS but there might be someplace else of interest along the way.

So it's looks like it will just be the two of us staying home for Christmas and not planning any long trip during that time.

Today was food shopping day for the next week. Cost..152zl($46). When we got home we discovered the clerk didn't include the milk and cereal when we checked out so we'll have to go back to get them. The person behind me was almost pushing me out of the way as I packed the bags so I didn't notice they were missing. Sometimes people can be very rude.

The store is ALREADY decorated for Christmas and all the Christmas related items are out to buy. Seems kind of ridiculous, it's only the middle of November but Poland has adopted the American way of advanced selling. Why can't Christmas be something more special than just trees, trinkets and presents. They should rename it to Sellmore instead of Christmas. I must be getting old :-) I always thought Christmas had to do with Christ, not how much profit can you make.

Myślę, że większość ludzi myśli o wakacje jako czas odpoczynku i relaksu. Joan i ja myślimy o nich jako czas, aby zobaczyć, jak możemy w miejscowościach możemy wybrać. Nie pamiętam, kiedy ostatni raz się na odpoczynek / wakacje relaks. Nie ma nic złego w tej idei jest to po prostu, że istnieje tak wiele piękne, historyczne, ciekawe miejsca nie widzieliśmy jeszcze nie chcą tracić czasu siedząc na plaży nic nie robi jest. Więc dla nas to po prostu idź, idź, idź cały czas. Coming skąd przychodzimy, 10/08 godziny jazdy to nic wielkiego. To część wypoczynku, do ziemi możemy podróżować po i mają okazję do boczną drogę, aby zobaczyć coś innego, ciekawe. To dlatego wzięliśmy długą drogę z Wiednia do Budapesztu, do niektórych z Słowacji. Ten wyjazd do Chorwacji nie będzie inaczej.

Oczywiście, będę mieć wszystko zaplanowane przed wyjazdem, posiadają wszystkie domki zarezerwowane i trasa wybrana. Jestem już w kontakcie z ludźmi na Airbnb miejsc do pobytu na drodze, mimo że nie jest do kwietnia przyszłego roku. Pewnie nawet kupić mapę Chorwacji mimo, że nie trzeba będzie go teraz ponieważ będziemy korzystać z GPS, ale nie może być gdzie indziej atrakcje po drodze.

Więc to wygląda jak będzie to tylko dwie z nas zostaje w domu na Boże Narodzenie i nie planuje żadnych długą podróż w tym czasie.

Dzisiaj był dzień zakupów żywności na następny tydzień. Koszt .. 152zl ($ 46). Kiedy wróciliśmy do domu okazało się, recepcjonista nie zawiera mleko i płatki, gdy zameldowaliśmy się więc będziemy musieli wrócić do nich dostać. Osoba za mną niemal popycha mnie z drogi, jak spakowałem torby, więc nie zauważy, że brakuje. Czasami ludzie mogą być bardzo niegrzeczne.Sklep jest już urządzony na Boże Narodzenie i wszystkie świąteczne podobne elementy są obecnie kupić. Wydaje rodzaju śmieszne, to tylko w połowie listopada, ale Polska przyjęła amerykański sposób zaawansowanej sprzedaży. Dlaczego nie może być czymś więcej Boże Narodzenie specjalne niż tylko drzewa, drobiazgami i prezentami. Powinni zmienić jego nazwę na Sellmore zamiast Bożego Narodzenia. Chyba się starzeję :-) Zawsze myślałem, że Boże Narodzenie miał do czynienia z Chrystusem, nie ile zysku można zrobić.
