To the rynek.

Most places are closed today so we went to the rynek for the afternoon and were surprised when we heard someone calling my name.  I turned around to find a couple with their young son at the rynek also. They live in the next community just north of us and we've known them for about three years. We talked for a while about how nice Poznań looks now and then Joan and I went to Sarp's for coffee.  After we were done we wanted to go see the new fountain in Plac Wolności but the whole area around the Plac is fenced off now as a fan zone for the games starting tomorrow.  It was another time when I should have had my camera with me but didn't.  We'll go back tomorrow and take pictures although I'm sure the place will be packed with fans since Poland plays against Greece in the opening game and fans will be everywhere.

At least the weather has warmed up enough to wear short sleeve shirts and shorts again so that's a good thing.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at someone else'e house watching a re-run of the Miami Heat vs. Boston basketball game.  Fortunately Boston won and maybe tonight can put the Heat out of the playsoffs if Boston wins.

Większość miejsc są zamknięte dzisiaj więc poszliśmy do rynek po południu i byli zaskoczeni, kiedy dowiedzieliśmy się ktoś woła moje imię. Odwróciłem się, aby znaleźć kilka z ich młodego syna na Rynku również. Żyją w następnym społeczności na północ od nas, a znamy ich około trzech lat. Rozmawialiśmy przez chwilę o tym, jak miło Poznań wygląda teraz i wtedy Joan i ja poszedłem do SARP na kawę. Po byliśmy zrobieni chciał iść zobaczyć nową fontannę na Placu Wolności, ale cały obszar wokół Placu jest ogrodzony teraz jako strefa kibica dla gier od jutra. To był inny czas, kiedy powinien miałem aparat ze mną, ale nie. Wrócimy jutro i robić zdjęcia, choć jestem pewien, że miejsce będzie zapakowane z fanami, ponieważ Polska gra przeciwko Grecji w meczu otwarcia i fani będą wszędzie.

Przynajmniej pogoda jest rozgrzany wystarczy nosić krótkie rękawem i szorty znowu tak, że to dobra rzecz.
