Thanks, "Google Gaggler" for the information about the new Croton plant. I printed it out and gave it to my "gardener", Joan. She was happy to receive it.

We've decided, after checking the website, to take a train to Zielona Gora instead of driving. Taking the Intercity train, it's only an hour and a half ride and the round trip ticket for two is about 130 zl, cheaper than the cost of gasoline for the car and without having to drive. Dan and Mirka will pick us up at the train station there around 10:30 and we'll have the whole day to spend together. We'll return the next day on the 12:15 train so we'll be home by 14:00. We're looking forward to the trip and meeting these two new people. It's Winobranie (Wine tasting) week in Gora while we're there so the four of us will partake of the festivities as well as see what there is to see.

I made a discovery today. You know yesterday I bought a new headphone set for my computer and yesterday I was still having the same problem. I tried it on both old and new laptops with the same result. In fact, on the older laptop, my video picture was appearing upside down. Czesław suggested unplugging the headset completely and I did it. To my great surprise, I could talk and be heard with no problems and the video was in the right position. So, today I'm returning the headset to Saturn where they will give me a credit of the cost, they don't refund money. That is OK because I need to buy 4 new rechargeable AA batteries and that should cover the cost of them. I guess I've been using a headset for so long and didn't consider using Skype without it. Now I will. I had another partner online and tried it again with her and she said everything worked fine.

We'll have a few hotter days this coming week, 31-34c, but in general, hot days are pretty much over. It really wasn't a hot summer except for a few weeks. Now it's time for autumn and eventually another winter.

Zdecydowaliśmy, po sprawdzeniu na stronie internetowej, aby do Zielonej Góry pojechać pociągiem, zamiast jazdy samochodem. Biorąc pociąg Intercity, to tylko półtorej godziny jazdy, a koszt z biletami powrotnymi dla dwóch osób wynosi około 130 zł, to taniej niż koszt benzyny i bez konieczności jazdy. Dan i Mirka odbiorą nas z dworca kolejowego około 10:30 i będziemy mieli cały dzień na to, by spędzić go razem. Wrócimy następnego dnia pociągiem o 12:15, więc będziemy w domu o 14:00. Czekamy na podróż i spotkanie  dwóch nowych ludzi. W tym czasie, w Zielonej Górze, przez tydzień będzie trwał  festiwal Winobrania (degustacja win) i cała nasza czwórka weźmie udział w zabawie, a także w tym, co tam jest do zobaczenia.

Dzisiaj zrobiłem odkrycie. Wiesz, wczoraj kupiłem nowy zestaw słuchawkowy do komputera i wczoraj  wciąż miałem ten sam problem. Testowałem go na starym i nowym laptopie z tym samym rezultatem. W rzeczywistości, na starszym laptopie, mój obraz wideo pojawił się do góry nogami. Czesław zaproponował odłączenie zestawu słuchawkowego  i tak zrobiłem. Ku mojemu wielkiemu zdziwieniu,  mogłem mówić i być słyszanym bez żadnych problemów, a obraz był na właściwym miejscu. Tak, dzisiaj wracam z zestawem słuchawkowym do Saturna, gdzie zwrócą koszt kredytu ale nie zwrócą pieniędzy. To jest OK, bo muszę kupić 4 nowe ładowarki do baterii AA, i te pieniądze powinny pokryć ich koszt. Myślę, że  używałem zestawu słuchawkowego tak długo, że nie rozważałem używania   Skype bez niego. Teraz będę.  Rozmawiałem online z innym partnerem i ponownie próbowałem rozmawiać z nią bez słuchawek i powiedziała mi, że  wszystko działało dobrze.

Będziemy mieć kilka cieplejszych dni w nadchodzącym tygodniu 31-34c, ale w ogóle, gorące dni  prawie się kończą. To naprawdę nie było gorące lato z wyjątkiem kilku tygodni. Teraz nadchodzi czas na jesień i ostatecznie na kolejną zimę.
