Windy night.

Another bad wind storm came through Poznań last night knocking down trees, power lines and again destroying or damaging most of the canopies in the rynek. The wind from the east was so strong that the rain that poured down seeped into our flat through these old window frames and the balcony door. Even though our flat is considered somewhat new, it does have old, wooden window frames and was the cause of the water intake. They should all be replaced with new ones and if we owned the flat we would do it.

Another problem we had yesterday was that our Samsung Smart TV stopped recognizing the USB connections to external drives, preventing us from watching anything on them. I tried everything I could to fix the problem but was unsuccessful. We had to resort to watching things on the computer. Not one who gives up easily, this morning I searched the internet to find a solution, tried it and it worked. The problem was with the firmware in the TV itself and after watching a video how to correct the problem, it is finally working again. I tried the normal Samsung support but it didn't recognize the model number so that didn't help. Finally I realized the Samsung support was for U.S. models so I searched for Samsung in the U.K., found a website, put in the model number and it gave me the information file needed for the firmware. I downloaded it to the computer, copied it to a pen drive and then plugged it into the USB port on the TV. Using the menu on the TV pilot, I went to the support section, Software upgrade, clicked it and it downloaded into the TV. I plugged in the external drive and there they were, every movie, TV series and other programs were all visible again. It pays to have perseverance.

Another thing.......life is beautiful but it has an expiration date. Enjoy life until that date.

Nie jeden, który daje się łatwo, to rano Szukałem w Internecie, aby znaleźć rozwiązanie, spróbowałem i udało się. Problem był z firmware w samej telewizji i po obejrzeniu filmu, jak rozwiązać ten problem, to jest w końcu działa ponownie. Próbowałem normalne wsparcie Samsung, ale nie rozpoznaje numer modelu, tak aby nie pomogło. W końcu zdałem sobie sprawę, wsparcie dla modeli Samsung amerykańskich był tak szukałem Samsung w Wielkiej Brytanii, znalazłem stronę internetową, umieścić w numerze modelu i to dało mi plik informacji niezbędnych do oprogramowania. Ściągnąłem go do komputera, kopiować go na pendrive'a, a następnie podłączyć go do portu USB w telewizorze. Korzystanie z menu na pilocie telewizora, poszedłem do sekcji wsparcia, aktualizacji oprogramowania, kliknąć go i pobrać do telewizora. Mam podłączony dysk zewnętrzny i tam byli, każdy film, seriale telewizyjne i inne programy były widoczne ponownie. Opłaca się mieć wytrwałość.
